My next cull?

I have little patience for clutter these days, and too many games I know I won't play again. This list is the result. Games here all suffer from one or more of the following problems:

a) the game is dated to the point where it's no longer enjoyable to play, or I simply don't enjoy playing it over other games, and don't foresee that changing,

b) the game has been obsoleted by a sequel, remake or digital release, and/or

c) the game is difficult to play due to hardware concerns (dying Dreamcast laser unit, N64 control sticks worn out, etc.)

List items

  • N64 - PAL.

All N64 games are on borrowed time for me, as my N64 is not working as well as it used to, and my controllers are all worn out.

More specifically, the camera and controls for this game are a little awkward, and the bomb-jumping mechanics required later on are frustrating when you add in the control/camera issues.

  • DC, PAL.

Crazy, right? Maybe. But my third Dreamcast is on its last legs, and this game apparently emulates quite well. Is it possible that the emulation isn't correct, and that the game wouldn't work as intended? Yes. However, it's also possible that I could start playing it on my DC and have the DC die before I finish the game again, so...

  • DC, PAL.

Second verse, same as the first. I love the idea of playing through these two games again... but there's every chance my Dreamcast wouldn't survive the encounter.

  • PS2 - PAL.

It may seem unfair to place this on the list when it's on my backlog (along with the two previous games in the series).
