Best of 2010

leinad44: Best of 2010
I only played 10 games from 2010 this year, so this isn't going to be a very decent top 10. LOL!
Actually I tell a lie, I played Final Fantasy 13 and Bioshock 2, and they really do not deserve to be on this list
Only 2 of these games aren't sequels :S

List items

  • It's Mass Effect, great characters, involving story, improved gameplay, most epic intro ever, an awesome finale and Mordin! Cleans up most of the problems from the first game. All in all, it lines it all up nicely for Mass Effect 3, which is going to be a painful wait.

  • Most involving sandbox game I have ever played, it tries it's hardest to distract you from playing through the main story with lots to do, nothing bad with the story though, it has an amazing ending

  • I really did not like singleplayer, in fact I hated it. Exept for the first mission, that was kinda cool. The reason this makes number 3 is because of the multiplayer, which I would say is better than CoD's 'My gun is bigger!' focused gameplay. With the recent release of the excellent Vietnam expansion, I'm playing this more than ever!

  • I have a real soft spot for the Ace Attorney games, they are simple, cheery and all round feelgood games, despite the focus of the games being about murders. This game ranks as probably my third favorite Ace Attorney game, with awesome music and nice mysteries to solve. However the constant referencing of past games can get a bit tiresome at times.

  • Everyone hates this game except for me. Being a fan of Stephen King I feel that this game is a good send up to his classics. On it's own the gameplay is intriging and I for one like its episodic format.

My only complaint however is the game doesn't try to horrify you as much as it should, you don't really get the feeling that you are being stalked as you probably should.

  • This game is a riot, if you are in the right mindset. The boss battles and fighting normal people actually manages to slow this game down, which is a shame, because I liked my lawnmower-wheelchair :D

  • This game starts out so well, then the bugs start to leak in and muddy the experience. But if you have some patience and just wait it out. This game delivers pretty much the same experience as Fallout 3, but this time with more GUNS! ;)

  • Football games are always better than the actual sport. It's been a good 5 years since my last football game, it was a nice example of how games evolve over time. However I won't be getting another FIFA for a few years.

  • Still haven't finished this game, but I can tell from playing it that it's very good, however traditional JRPG's have gotten to the point of all feeling the same and that you are just going through the motions. If you wanna play an amazing new JRPG, get 2009's Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4, it is well worth it.

  • Yes, I do own this and it's a blast, but only with friends, playing it on your own is like pulling teeth LOL. Decent story and a memorable protagonist. Why does this beast FF13 and Bioshock 2 to the list? Because it has some fucking charm!
