God, how can there be such a fuss over a few co-op missions? It's true that bioware has limited resources, but the single player is still the priority for them, it's not the end of the world if they decide to include some additional features for the people finished with the main campaign.

Just a bunch of co-op missions, nothing too interesting for me. Might be fun with a friend, though I hope that they don't go too overboard with the concept since it would be nice that the single player gets most of the resources they have.

From my experience with demons' souls you can use your offhand weapon to inflict status effects such as poison (achieved via upgrade by mercury stone), or gain bonuses like increased damage when your health drops below 30% (morion blade).

Absolutely, all of the games are still great fun. Though when moving from newer RPGs to older ones it is best to keep in mind that some things will be different and may require some accustoming to. The hand holding is mostly gone and there isn't a gigantic marker showing the exact location where a person is or a glowing trail for you to mindlessly follow. The game gives and demands a certain amount of responsibility from you, and personally I love it, but I've come to realize how some of the newer gamers have trouble dealing with this. So keep that in mind.

From the time I've spent with these games Planescape torment is probably my favorite even though I've yet to complete it (computer blew up and saves are now sitting on my HDD), most likely because the story is such a big focus here. In contrast Icewind dale games are my least favorite because the story and plot take a back seat to the combat, which is the best out of all three. Baldur's gate 2 kind of strikes a nice balance here, both the combat and the story are good but fall a little short of Planescape torment's exceptionally well told story and Icewind dale's combat. But ultimately all of them are good, whatever strikes your fancy.

Here's a good guide on modding Planescape: Torment so that it's more up to modern standards. Bugfixes, higher resolution, etc.

This here is a must, used it myself and it improved the quality of the experience considerably. In general I'd recommend that you use widescreen mods when playing these games, good stuff.

I still can't get over the fact that they have the level scaling implemented again, it takes away from the sense of progression substantially. I can't think about anything positive since I'm all bitter again :(

Killing kids in games is kinda weird subject. The whole idea can be morally disgusting, but at the same time it will break the immersion if you're not able to. Imagine the scenarion where you suddenly decide to make the game a wasteland by slaying every npc avaivable, and despite your greatest efferts you'll still have a bunch of cheery kids running around. It's weird.

Dragon age 2, probably the worst rpg that bioware has ever made. I knew it was coming yet it was still disappointing.

I wasn't really affected by this at all. So yeah, things are going to go on as before.

Multiple game sites have confirmed that it will be released as a ps classic. So yeah, I'm pretty pumped up about this because I never had the opportunity to play it uptil now.
