The best way is level up the social link and refuse it.

I guess you are at start of the game in the first dungeon(or second) there aren't much more option.
If you really can't do it just ignore the spell, while its a nice boost you will be able to beat any enemy even without it. It will take more time but just a fraction of the time needed to level up a persona.

We you defeath Izunami-no-Okami you discover what really is inside people heart. The more direct connection are the School Trip in P4, also It was buggy me for some time. Is Chidori the offical girlfriend of the P3 protaganist, since we you get her speach how she overcome her fear of man. I know that the only way that happen is to max out her S.Link. "
Dude, the MC of P3 pretty much dipped his jonny in any named female NPC who is still going to school.
3- i played the game 2 time, i think i never really got a trap on a chest. Sometime just some moster, but they come with a EXP tag attached. so i dont mind.
