Games from from my favorite franchises that I did not like.

I was about to name this games from from my favorite franchises that I HATE. But that will be another thing.

These are games that I enjoyed though I had more expectations or did not match taste since it is part of a gaming frachise that Im addicted to. The games that are sort of out of place from their past installments. Maybe it is the gameplay, style, characters, story, hype, etc. I get the impression that the franchises wants to keep their games fresh which does not turn out to be the best for fans. They add features, change gameplay or the story which results into a disappointment.

List items

  • MAYBE one of the reasons why Tekken 6 is loathed by some. It was supposed to be Tekken then they changed the gameplay mechanics that a lot of fans were turned off. It sort of drained the love and respect that Tekken 1, 2, 3 and Tekken Tag Tournament garnered. Though they went back to their roots on Tekken the damage was done.

  • This is the last Tony Hawk game I played. It sapped the fun out of me. It just didnt have the fun that THPS, THUG and THAW had. Tony Hawk Project 8 was OK, but this was really damn boring. Proof that the Tony Hawk franchise aint what it used to be.

  • Great game. What did it was the name. Final Fantasy. Everyone did not expect this to be quick and short bec. it had the Final Fantasy name on it. It took me like past the middle of the game to truly enjoy its potential as well. That left me sort of exhausted. The characters were annoying too.

  • This game was OK but it turned MGS into a whole WTF! story. First I was under the impression that you will be using Solid Snake as well. Yes its on the cover art. But after 2 hrs or so, you are switched to Raiden, ine of the most loathed characters in MGS history. It is not bec. he is boring or whatever, but it is how he was introduced. The cut scenes and codecs also felt like 80% of the game. It really felt excessive and Raiden and Rosemary's love story almost made me fall asleep. Raiden jumping around naked was another hilarious scene that really made me "facepalm". Good thing Raiden redeemed himself in MGS 4. And hopefully Metal Gear Rising will go great.

  • I almost put MK4, but I did not really took that game seriously. I put MK Armageddon because I really expected a lot, mostly that all the characters were there. There was no explanation on how the dead characters came back first which left a lot of loophole regarding the plot. I did not feel Kreate a fatality as well. It just felt plain. I rather see specific character fatalities. I also felt they got lazy making those character endings. Daegon and Taven who were SUDDENLY essential to the plot of MK just felt like new extra filler guys. and yes their own create a character was a dud either. good thing the franchise rebooted.
