I'm intrigued but a little worried. Patrick always had a strong voice and platform on GB, will Kotaku provide him with a better one? I sort of feel like maybe it was CBS's fault for not allowing Patrick to follow his ambitions and talents, or maybe it was in conflict with GB's video focused audience? How will GB fill in the gaping black hole left by his departure>
Scoops, your voice was so valuable to Giant bomb in how different it was an how much it aligned with thoughts of many developers, particularly with Dark Souls and Spelunky, and recently Divinity and Paper's Please, and your eagerness to try new experiences made following you interesting from start to finish. A great loss to GB, but great to know you'll still be around. Thanks for everything Patrick!
Watch it for the action scenes which are all directed by Jackie before his US takeover in the late 90's. He considers it his best action film and I can see that, especially in the pacing and dramatic moments as well as comedic moments which are superior to nearly all of his other films, which have poor acting and terrible pacing. It's stupid silly fun, especially if you're a Jackie Chan fan, otherwise it's another stupid action movie with standout action choreography and comic timing. Makes it interesting that he does all his own stunts, which would be impossible to do today with all the red tape.
