Reach Out to the Truth

My new site Reach Out to the Truth is now live.

Reach Out to the Truth is the site where I'll be publishing all my future blogs. Most people don't know, but I currently blog on seven different sites. Reach Out to the Truth makes it easier for me to keep track of all my blog posts, reminds me of the sites that I need to publish the blog on, and increases the visibility of my "exclusives" which may include content of interest to all my readers.

Reach Out to the Truth takes its name from one of the songs on the Persona 4 soundtrack. Truth and the desire to obtain the truth is a common theme in Persona 4. I'd like to think that has something to do with the site, but I really just chose it because I like Persona 4. And that's the truth.

I've done this a lot in the past, and I can say that you will diminish your blog posts by posting the same/similar blog on each place you blog at. Certain people that blog here just to link to their GameSpot profile for instance, I never give the time of day. I have a website as well, but I never post the same blogs at all, in fact I leave all the videogame blogging to GiantBomb pretty much.

Well, it's possible that I could drop a couple sites from my regular rotation now that I have a new destination for my posts. The problem is that I have so many blogs, and they do get views. I don't want to leave my non-GB friends out just because I use Giant Bomb more often. In particular, my blogs on GameSpot and The VG Press still get plenty of views, so I can't abandon those sites. It's really difficult to keep track of all my friends, and by creating a centralized point for all my blogs I hope to improve the situation a bit. Will it work? I have no idea. But at least people have somewhere they can go to find my blogs if I do abandon any of those sites for some reason.

I could post non-gaming related blogs. In fact I'm hoping that having a blog on a non-game site will help in that regard. If I post a blog here, there's sort of an assumption that it will be game-related, whereas RottT can really be whatever I want it to be.
