My top 5 (plus 1) games of all time. (I'm not claiming that these are the best games of all time, only my personal favorite. Feel free to agree/disagree but don't get all hot and bothered because you think Starz Petz Dogz whatever is better than everything on here)
The absolute pinnacle of gaming. VII is also very near and dear in my heart, but VI was absolute perfection and I feel cheap placing two games from the same series.
Simply the best Zelda game ever made. Ocarina is once again very close, but I personally feel that MM had the deeper level of strategy and thought required to accrue all of the masks in the game.
Many people place Trigger before its sequel, however I found Cross's battle system to be more engaging and strategic.
Hundreds of hours of dungeon crawling accompany a dark and twisted story which will keep you playing until you're through. Persona 3's unique-ness far outshined Persona 4's gameplay improvements.
Very likely the single game that is closest to my heart (no pun intended), Kingdom Hearts 2 perfected all the small gripes from the first game and offered hours upon hours of heart-wrenching tales with Goofy and Donald. The darker tone and more independent from Disney story helped to push this game far beyond its predecessor.
A great example of games as art and technically an honorable mention in my top 5 list, however I could NOT leave it out due to the level of immersion created by the game. It really made you care to see it through to the end.
