Just noticed all the episodes are labeled X-COM even though it's actually XCOM for the rebooted games. And yes, I'm that nerd who is actually really bugged by this.

@memu: I'm someone who comes from a background of playing the original X-COM games so I love what the series used to be. The remake fails to grip me because of how it restricts movement. In the original you could move and shoot in any order as long as you had action points. The remake streamlines it in such a way that you have less interesting options because shooting immediately ends your unit's turn.

That's just one of many issues such as unforcasted enemy spawning, unclear line of sight rules, and failure to visually represent enemy units in overwatch.

Abby continues to demonstrate all the reasons why I dislike XCOM. I really want to love these games, but especially after Mario + Rabbids came out, it becomes clear how XCOM places bogus restrictions and scenarios on players and is unnecessarily fiddly.

I'm intrigued by the mystery but imagine I would find this infuriating to play. Might just see if someone has a let's play of this online.

I feel like the real hardcore mode is Vinny's friendly fire.

I was looking forward to this one and I do enjoy hard, inscrutable games, but this just looks like they take it too far.
