This applies to everything free.  I'm sure they'll still have demos due to the fact that it's could be done in the advertising budget, but seriously?   Imagine the fees some of these companies are paying for demos alone.  I remember something about a demo getting over 2 mil downloads. 1.8 GBs  That times $.16/GB equals $600,000.  That's not cool. 
As far as free map packs go, I really doubt they'll still exist.

Well since the article says they have been charging for a while, and yet we still get a bunch of these demos... not much has changed. In fact it seems like we have gotten more demos for stuff than usual..

I think the title of this topic is misleading. It will still remain free for consumers, so it makes no difference to us. The title implies that users will have to pay, which is not the case.

Those character models look terrible. They don't stand naturally at all... looks very last-gen.

I enjoyed the past games, so hopefully this improves by the time it launches.
