I managed to get it on the first try, but holy shit it isn't easy. Only got off with about 14% Hull Shield Health or whatever it's called.
I have to admit maxed out Plasma Cutter is totally my favourite weapon, can pretty much dismember any limb with one shot.Although I found the secondary mode for The Ripper VERY useful.
I LOVED that part to.Right before the last boss, its tentacle just rips her in two and splatters her against the building. I was almost laughing. Finally got hers. (:
