I have a dedicated gaming PC and a Boner. ...Uh, an Xbox One. Pardon.
One of the reasons why I use my One for competitive gaming is because it levels the playing field. Everyone is on the same equipment, mostly using the same input device, with the same game with the same updates.
Changing console gaming from a four to six year life/upgrade cycle to a two year upgrade cycle changes this. Money is not my issue. My issue is that shortening the upgrade cycle severely cripples or eliminates the level playing field if the updated device is under the same brand and uses the same games. If you can't understand that, then you're blinding yourself.
