Just fucking make a new Burnout already. Argh.

I think this is it.

EA must have gotten fatigued on allowing both Need for Speed and Burnout to exist so they decided to put the Burnout devs on the Need for Speed name and see how sales went. So far so good I guess.

I still prefer Burnout Revenge type games though.

Gold is $60 a year, so shouldn't it be $420 paying upfront?

For some reason a lot of the videogames press forgets the actual cost of things. I guess maybe because they get a lot of it for free. There are several examples of a news story mentioning XBLG costing $50 as if Microsoft didn't increase the price almost 2 years ago.

Yeah we get it, it's a terrible deal for most people. But maybe try writing with less snark once and a while.

Yes, I know its his thing, but it gets annoying when every story has it. I would prefer that sometimes just the news is reported and not the attitude.

It's really such an odd deal. If your financial situation doesn't allow you to buy a system up front at full cost, I can't imagine being able to populate that system with actual games or services.

This definitely looks to be a sort of experiment; a slightly troubling experiment.

I think this is definitely an experiment. The cost of the Xbox 360 was able to be reduced over time, but the next generation of consoles may want to avoid what happened with PS3 when it was first launched. I can't see as many people rushing out for a $600 new Xbox when there are plenty of other devices to be entertained by. Being able to pay a monthly fee may make people more willing to buy.

Defending Capcom's business practices over the past few years has had to put some wear on his soul. I assume that when he joined Capcom he thought it would be more of a pleasant experience.

This man has to stop speaking publicly. He can't say anything that can be taken in it's proper context.

But he can get people paying attention to THQ and making publicity over nothing but statements.

I guess they couldn't wait until e3 to reveal how many troops are in the next Dynasty Warriors game.

I don't like the idea of planning so many sequels and downloads for a game that hasn't really shown itself yet.

It is becoming increasingly tough to be a AAA developer, especially one that is starting from scratch.

If starting from scratch, one probably shouldn't reach for the top (especially if the money isn't already there). A ladder or some stairs would have been much more appropriate in the case of 38 Studios. At least they would have had proper footing.

Wow. 38 studios won't even comment on the state of Copernicus to save the company. That's freaking insane.

38 Studios does not comment on rumors or speculation (seriously that is messed up).

Hey governments, stop playing favorites with unknown business ventures. You are very likely to get hurt.

I am still interested in Amalur, but there was nothing about it that made me have to jump at a release date purchase. I'll get it eventually because the combat looks fun.

This case was gonna be a tricky one either way. You REALLY don't want to anger Valve fanatics, but you also REALLY don't want to anger Blizzard fanatics.
