The Most Epic Sci-Fi/Fantasy Races

All of my favorites.

List items

  • Yetis are my #1 favorite fantasy race.

  • The Orcs of Tamriel. I've always had a soft-spot for Orcs, and Bethesda's Orcs may very well be my favorite. They are human-like in that they are not mindless war machines, but very similar to humans, they have the capacity to choose right from wrong (similar to Dark Elves). An Orc was my first character in Morrowind, and that same character is still my main to this day.

  • Specifically the Warcraft, and Elder Scrolls variants.

  • Ah, Khajiits. How could I forget them? I love these guys.

  • Argonians, like Khajiits are simply amazing.

  • So much better than vampires. It's not really a comparison.

  • Yes.

  • You betcha.

  • I especially like them in Gladius.

  • Gladius again, though the Everquest ones are pretty cool too.

  • The Krogan are simply awesome. They just are. Deal with it.

  • I love the Turians, they make a great addition to the Mass Effect universe. I really like what they bring to the games, and characters like Saren, and especially Garrus, are really well-written.

  • I love the Elcor. They are just great, and they dialogue is often funny due to their unique speech patterns. They remind me somewhat of Ithorians, whom I also like a lot.

  • Like the Elcor, the Hanar make me laugh. I like Elcor quite a bit more, but "these ones", as the Hanar might put it, are pretty dang awesome.

  • The Quarians are awesome, though it would suck to be stuck in a suit.

  • The Volus remind me of the Gand from Star Wars. Nevertheless, they have their own feel to them, and I have grown to like them a lot.

  • Asari are very unique in concept. To Star Wars fans, Twi'leks are no doubt called to mind. There are many things that differentiate the two races, however, and they are quite an interesting species to have around.
