Yeah this is my first go at making a PC. I didn't even notice that there wasn't a video card in that build, haha.

Anyways, I'm mostly looking at some casual gaming. But I would like to run Guild Wars 2 at high/medium settings at a nice framerate at 1080p.

Hey, I'm trying to build a decent mid level pc. I've been searching a trying to figure out what components are compatible with which. Then I stumbled along a combo deals section in Newegg. It seems like everything I will need is there for a nice price.

However I need more input/suggestions before I go through with buying this, any help anyone can bring me will be much appreciated!

Not trying to be that guy, but why is everyone getting a ngc? A lot of you are just getting games that will be available on the current gen. I can understand BF4 because of the player count.

Personally I am getting the XB1 for DR3, FM5, KI, ACIV, WD, and probably BF4.

(I like better graphics for the multiplates personally)

I'm trying to by my mom a PC in the 400-500 dollar range (before shipping, tax).

She basically only uses a computer for internet, netflix, and other non intensive purposes. I am looking for a laptop with a disc drive, she is also very okay with Windows 8. She has seen and used it a bit on my PC and I will be here to help her with any potential issues she might have with the learning curve.

This is sort of laptop I'm looking at, but I am trying to get the best for the price. THAT is something I am admittedly poor at, I usually end up buying the first 'good' deal I see without shopping around.
