My 5 star last gen games

List items

  • Favorite game of the generation, the only game I've ever bothered getting every achievement for and simply just the most fun I've had playing a game since I was a kid with an NES controller in my hand.

  • Played through it start to finish 5 times. Shepards story is perhaps my favorite gaming story and his journey is the first time I really became invested in the universe a game created. Common theme of a lot of, first experiences, helping games make my list. Still wish I could of finished Insanity, got half way through and just stopped.

  • Hundreds of hours and by far the most time I've ever logged with a multiplayer game.

  • The reason I decided to buy my 360. The original Fallout is still my favorite game of all time and I found this to be an amazing modern reboot, continuation, whatever you'd like to call it, of the series.

  • Never been a huge, expansive world, fantasy style RPG guy, heck this is my first Elder Scrolls game. 100+ hours later I want to keep returning to my character.

  • One of the few games I can look at that literally was influential on me personally as a gamer. As I mentioned with Skyrim, big, open world, exploration style RPGs was never my thing. With the recommendation of a friend I picked this up more than 2 years after it's release and literally just feel in love. Now I want massive, epic style RPG games and the Mass Effect series in general is easily one of the greatest things I've ever played.

  • With the influence of Mass Effect fresh on my mind I needed more and sank my teeth into Dragon Age Origins. My favorite PC game of probably the last 10-12 years. I never played Baulder's Gate and the other similar style classic western RPGs so this was another new experience that really made an impression on me.

  • My first XCOM experience and what an awesome one it was. I had heard how great, challenging and rewarding it was and it simply didn't disappoint even in the slightest.
