" @madsoul: I don't know if someone already suggested it, but you should check out SoundCloud for putting your music on the internet.
Also, I'm not a music maker, but a good friend of mine has put out some spectacular ambient/electronic/post-rock, check him out: the Picturesque Episodes. "
That sounds pretty cool. Thanks alot for the link! I will check it out at once!

" @madsoul:  very cute response.. I don't have a problem with it, and your game looks good. I have had a look at this and your last thread and it looks like your games are interesting!
It just feels like a disguised promo for your product in this thread... I dont think i'm wrong... although I am impressed with the work you guys are doing.. I'm a hobbyist also and have used the following:

  • C++ is my main language of choice! Obv with games programming I use class libraries such as ogre.
  • UDK
  • Java - using Java 3d and 2d libraries.
  • Dark Basic
messed about with others casually... your products have much more polish tho! :D "
Haha, ofcourse you are in a way right. But its pretty hard to get noticed on a such large market. Thats why you would want to spread the word around in diferent forums and such. ;)

Also, nice! Got any projects up somewhere? Any videos? Would be nice to see what you have been up to.

" I get it that you want to raise the profile of your games and your studio.. but why do you keep making threads about your games and content.. why not just contact Giant bomb directly like all other developers instead of creating thread after thread in general discussion? "
Thread after thread? I have made 2 threads about 1 game we made. First a preview thread, then a release thread. Then when I wanted to update the release thread i couldnt, since there is a post limit. We had released an update, but I couldnt update the thread so its pretty dead now. And why would I contact the Giant Bomb staff? I personally feel we are not interesting enough for them since we are just a small hobby studio. And this thread is not just for my own delightment, I just wanted to see other peoples creations! Its fun to find new unknown games etc! :)

" We do have many designers on Giant Bomb, but I think the majority will choose to stay anonymous ;)  We have a lot of young members who may well pester them if they were to be exposed.   Great looking game. I do like that styling. I like the look main character also - Bowler hats will always appeal to me as a Brit. I would be interested to see how well he animates. With those thin limbs of his, I imagine pretty well - you could make them very expressive. Where are you based? "
Hah! Yeah, I can agree on that. So yeah, we are a pretty loose studio. I live in Sweden and my coder in England. And right now its only us two. I design graphics, make music and soundeffects. He do the programming etc. And we both work on the gameplay, story, dialog and ideas. :) Have been doing some PSP themes and homebrew stuff before. This is my first time actually getting real games out! Feels awesome! Knowing someone is enjoying your game somewhere in the world. Especially when you are just two people making it.

Hello

Im very very interested to see how many in here that actually been part of making games! Would be really fun to take a look at your work and give eachothers advices etc. So in this thread I would like you to post all kinds of game projects you have been a part of and/or maybe concepts for upcoming games you are working on!

Il start out.

Im part of Didev Studios.
 http://www.didev-studios.com/

And we released a month ago GeoSnake in the Appstore for Ipod Touch and Iphone.
Here is a link to the game:  http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/geosnake/id323994481?mt=8

It is the classic snake game updated with some neon graphics and other new features including dangerous bombs in arcade levels and then ofcourse the classic Survival mode with powerups. You can eaither touch the screen or tilt to control the snake in any direction, and if you go off the screen youl get out the other side. We just released a new update with some more levels and some minor fixes including a new powerup! For next update we will add new modes and more levels.

We also have some more games in development right now that I will post concepts screens of later!

Now... Im curious to see what you people are up to. :)
