@barf_surprise: Elaborate. Making a thread with a link and nothing else is a recipe for a quick lockdown.

I played for a few hours. Seems cool. I mean, like "Borderlands cool". By that I mean mindlessly run from marker to marker, shoot at stuff and get better gear. Enemies are a bit too bullet-spongy, but I think I'm getting used to it.

How is it for single-player later on? I don't play MP at all. Hell, I clocked over 150hrs in each Borderlands game without touching multiplayer stuff and had a lot of fun. Every once in a while I like a "checklist" game(Just Cause, Mad Max, Borderlands). The Division seems like it could be one of those for me.

I voted for Cyberpunk (loved Witcher), because three games is enough and they're leaving the universe at its peak, which is not common in this industry.

Also, it's Cyberpunk and I'd appreciate something in that setting that's not a twin stick shooter, roguelike or an FPS. A proper, massive RPG. Yeah. I like the sound of that.

As for the Ciri game, I wouldn't mind something from an action genre. Like DmC or something.

My brother told me about the website. The first thing I've ever watched was the Red Dead Redemption Quick Look, since that's what was on the main page. Loved it. Stayed.

As for going Premium, it wasn't any particular video. It was the ability to download the files.

I can't wait for New Colossus. I haven't been this excited about a game for a loong time.

The trailer was great, but I feel like they've shown a bit too much. I think I know some important story/character beats already.

Also, (New Order spoilers) I like how they apparently didn't choose a canon timeline. Both Fergus and Wyatt are alive in the trailer and it looks like they don't, um... coexist? Is that the right word? Anyway, during the scenes with Frau Engel we see Fergus in the background at 3:05, while at 7:43 it's Wyatt, so we're clearly looking at alternative versions of the same scene.

And now for my New Colossus' B.J.'s arc theory:

  1. He wakes up;
  2. is confined to a wheelchair;
  3. gets into the Da'at Yichud power suit(we see naked Caroline at 3:05 and she was the one wearing it in New Order);
  4. looses the suit(and in turn his jacket), and here's the craziest part: the Nazis can't get him out of the suit, so they just cut B.J.'s head off;
  5. Anya and trippy Wyatt break into the lab to steal B.J's head(wacky LSD-fueled hijinks ensue, because severed heads?); Debunked by lead writer Jens Matthies.
  6. B.J.'s head gets transplanted onto a different body. (During the converstaion with the American resistance leader B.J. is wearing a different jacket and has a metallic looking seam on his neck. To support this theory, see: the cat-monkey.)

Whew, sorry if all that sounds like ramblings of a mad man or if you know all this already. I just had to get all that out of me.

@yabbering_yeti: Thank you for taking the time to patiently reply to my mad ramblings.

I'm pretty dead-set on Ryzen 5 1500x and MSI B350M Bazooka(better clocks and cooler than on 1400 and the mobo allows for reasonable OC and I found both for cheap). MSI seems to be updating the BIOS pretty regularly(four updates so far).

When it comes to compatibility though... I found a great deal for Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x4GB kit at 3000MHz and... Well, Ryzens don't like 3000MHz memory and MSI, for their tests, seems to ignore anything lower than 8GB sticks. They're just not listed at all. Does having 4GB sticks instead of 8GB sticks make much of a difference compatibility-wise?

Also, I contacted the store and they said that it's absolutely possible to return the memory and buy something else if things don't work, so I think I'm just gonna risk it.

Being obsessive AND on a tight budget sucks...

I'm looking into a Ryzen 5 build and the whole RAM compatibility situation is driving me absolutely nuts. I'll be getting MSI B350M Bazooka motherboard and for some reason, when MSI is doing their memory compatibility tests(it applies to other manufacturers also) they completely ignore 4GB sticks(and that's what I aim for - a 2x4GB kit). There's also the speeds stuff. Like, some CPUs will work on clocks up to 2400MHz, some to 2666MHz, 3000MHz doesn't work AT ALL and you have to downclock to 2933... And what the hell is "single rank memory"?? I've never heard of this! Why do they need me to pay attention to this all of a sudden?

Ugh... Sorry, maybe I exaggerated a bit with the ranting. I just like to plan everything before making any purchases, make sure everything will work and all this RAM stuff is driving me up the wall.

Anyway, right now I'm looking at Corsair Vengeance LPX or Crucial Ballistix, both as 2x4GB kits. And at 2400MHz, since this is the speed that seems to work in most cases. And it's crazy. The price difference between 2400 and 3000 is basically non-existent. I'm paranoid now.

Okay, I'm done. Sorry, this post is longer than I initially planned. Anyway, good luck with your build and remember to look into the memory stuff!

Also, maybe someone can help me? ...help...?
