2011 Game Of The Year
I love games that force me to think. This one does so in many ways, both along the inference of the story beats and the myriad combat options. Many scenarios in it made me cross with frustration, and others made me cry with the weighted, moving voice acting.
This barely qualifies as a game, but if you must place it you may call it an adventure game. And an interesting one even in that regard. I enjoy psychology and social research. This game's story dipped into both of those with its themes, ones not often seen in gaming and certainly not presented in such a fashion. I cried more than once during this one. Few things are as painful as watching people make mistakes.
