It was alright, but it seemed a bit like a first draft.

Why was morale so high in the Reavers? None of them seemed to care about their very real prospects of a vile and unpleasant death, yet they'd still march on like butter to a knife.

Why were all the kids running away at the end? Each one of them would run away from the kamikaze Reavers, only to unleash a superpower of unspeakable usefulness once caught. Why didn't they stand their ground and co-ordinate themselves?

I thought they were all raised in a facility in Mexico? Why did they all speak like Americans? Except for the girl who had a very far-reaching grasp of English, yet one narrow enough for communication to be a convenient issue earlier in the movie.

From what I have had, Teeling whiskey is the finest drink currently being produced. I wouldn't ruin it with ice or with mixer.

Guinness and whiskey have been my mainstays, although I would be reluctant to get a Guinness abroad.

I'd like to think Dragon Age II.

In a perfect world though, it'd be Mass Effect 2.

is attending the show in person still relevant?

Sure, it'd still be great craic altogether. If it were local, I'd be up for it.

I wonder if this move has anything at all to do with certain media outlets/figures condemning violent video games at E3 after last year's American shooting.

Dark Souls 3 is my favourite game in a long time, and I think it's owed entirely to the fact that I'm actually in the game world, taking every cautious step, rather than looking at an abstract representation of the game world from a bird's eye view.

Any time I play a game with an all-revealing minimap/compass, I feel like I'm going through the motions of playing a game, but not actually playing it.

I don't know how you watched it. I tried watching it a year ago, and while it wasn't as bad as I remember, it was so boring I couldn't finish it.

The Coming Revolution by Patrick Pearse.

From 1913 to 1916, the Poet and school-teacher, Pádraig Mac Piarais, talks about the mechanics of blood sacrifice, nationality and education, and eerily predicts how Ireland would establish independence.

It's a pretty weird and fascinating book. And at times, disturbing.

I watch maybe 2 movies a year, maybe only one of those being in a cinema.

Generally, I'm not into fiction at all unless it takes the form of a video game.

To be fair to it, if they allowed me to jettison some of my crew members into space, ME2 would have been one of my all-time favourite games.

Mass Effect 2 is the only game I've played where I looked up a guide for the final mission specifically so I could fail in a way that killed the characters in my team that were mass murderers.

How have I never thought of this...
