Still not worth it (and I own one). Where are the games, dammit?!

There are more than enough good to great games for something that is barely a year old.

I strongly disagree. Most of the best games are ports or available on other platforms (and usually better on those). But worst of all, the 2013 release schedule is fucking pathetic. Outside of Soul Sacrifice and Killzone Mercenary, absolutely nothing stands out. That's bad. Really really bad.

God I wish I hadn't thrown away $300 last year...

Doesn't it console you just a little bit that you will (hopefully) be able to transfer any ps4 game to your vita at will? If it works for every title I think it would justify the purchase, especially if you have a family or a community tv.

@manlyscream: My main problem with the whole Cesaro thing is that he has gotten over. It's fair enough to be pushed to the side if someone is talented but has zero crowd reaction. My problem is that Cesaro IS pretty over as a a heel but he is being squandered by being pummeled every week. My hope is that post-Mania, he will bring the noise once again.

@turboman: Last year's "go home" Wrestlemania show scored like a 3.04 (or along those lines) and WM28 went on to earn the mega bucks. WWE has been on the up financially since then too, on top of that. Should be fine then, with any luck.

--

Personally I'm holding out on Hell No/ZigEBigE and Swagger/Del Rio to bring some energy to the mid-card. Del Rio and Swagger have built a strong feud in my mind between two performers who I am pretty indifferent towards. It could range anywhere from solid to good. Ditto for the tag match. You got three great workers (and a great, younger star) together in the ring. They should be able to pull off something decent. The real "make or brake" match in my mind is Taker/Punk. That match will be the real acid test for where WM29 lies in the history of Manias. Got to be optimistic; it's Wrestlemania season.

After seeing the last RAW (and the stellar performances of Daniel Bryan and Ziggler), I am also looking forward to seeing the tag match, with the debut of Tittie Langston. Del Rio vs. Swagger should also be very entertaining.....since Swagger's return his physical style has been great to watch and having an opponent that could handle that, with Del Rio, is a perfect match.

But just as turboman said, the show stealer should be Punk vs. Taker. It was just revealed that after Mania Punk will be taking some serious time off to heal from physical and mental fatigue, as well as some nagging injuries sustained during his great run as wwe champion. Because of Punks upcoming time off, and this being possibly Taker's last match, I believe this will be an epic match and honestly don't know the direction WWE is going to take with it. On one hand it seems that Punk has no chance, especially because of what he has done recently, but last RAW it seemed Taker was hinting at the fact that he might lose because he may go too far to win, getting him disqualified. Not only did he say that, but he seemed to accept it as long as that meant giving Punk the beating of his life......and I believe that is the only way Punk will win. McMahon has shown, with the screwjob, that he isn't afraid to go against the expectations of the fans in order to deliver headlines and word of mouth....either way can't wait for it.

@fateofnever: Yeah, face vs. face matches makes for a very un-entertaining build up....especially when it's supposed to headline an event in the stature of Wrestlemania.

During the presentation the day before, another journalist asked if Unreal Engine 4 would work on Nintendo's Wii U -- a console that straddles the line between next-gen and the current one in terms of horsepower. "Hahahaha, no," he responded, which sent a wave of laughter through the room of journalists. But that's not technically true, he admitted the next day, walking back his gaffe. "You heard the stupid gaffe yesterday about the Wii U," he said. "If someone wants to take Unreal Engine 4 and ship a game on Wii U, they can! If they wanna ship an Unreal Engine 4 game on Xbox 360, they could make it happen." While that game might not look as pretty as it would on a "true" next-gen console, the new engine is scalable to a variety of platforms, including mobile.

http://www.engadget.com/2013/03/29/mark-rein-interview-gdc-2013/#continued

Are you aware the hidden message behind all that is no one really cares about the Wii-U right.. I mean listen, I'm not picking a fight here, I have fond memories of my SNES. I would love to see a modern Nintendo I can get behind, but being realistic I wouldn't buy Nintendo shares today (unless they announce they releasing pokemon for iphone), the casual market is on Smartphones/Tablets now.

I totally agree with donpixel....there has to be something going on in the development community that would have made Mark disregard and laugh off the idea of someone taking the time to put an unreal engine 4 game on the wii u. That is a very sad conclusion, if it is correct...which comes from the company that had by far the most used third party engine this generation. Hopefully some new games from Nintento (new IP and Zelda/Mario) will get a bigger install base, forcing 3rd parties to re-examine the system. I am personally waiting for this to happen before i drop $350.

@cassus: EA and Epic beg to differ, Frostbite and Unreal 4 wont support the Wii-U.

Mark Rein corrected himself and said that Unreal Engine 4 will support the Wii-U; the quality just won't be anywhere near the demo Epic has been showing off.

Here is the article on IGN:

http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/03/29/unreal-engine-4-frostbite-3-will-not-support-wii-u

My question is why he would blow it off like that? Is the Wii-U that lost and that much of a joke in the development community that he would laugh at anyone using the engine on Wii U? I'm assuming his laughter and immediate disregard has to be stemming from what has been going on in the development community and their confusion or dissatisfaction with the system.

What the hell is WWE doing with Cesaro? This guy is a beast in the ring. His style and technique is one that makes many of his matches entertaining, even if they are just thrown together. He seemed like he was getting pushed, but maybe because the crowed wasn't giving him the reaction they thought he would, they abandoned him.

Also for this last Monday Night...Jericho was great again...Daniel Bryan was great. CM Punk continues to create the only storyline in Mania worth watching.

Every week leading up to Mania i thought things would get better and storylines would be fleshed out more, but what a joke. Most of Mania is thrown together and seriously get Cena off the mic.....give him a heel turn or something.

Is anyone else sick of the kiss a$$ing that cena and rock go through? example"We can't stand each other, but he is so good...blah blah....I am better...blah blah....but he is really goood....blah f*ing blah.

Come on WWE...can't you get your act together for the biggest event of the year?!

@patrickklepek Don't know if you caught it, but Fish was on an ask anything open questionnaire yesterday for a couple hours. Some great questions in there and insight to his thoughts, the game and reactions since the indie movie.
