Format your hard drive if you can. Sounds like something on the drive is corrupted causing issues.
I could initialize the system but I'm just afraid that I'll do that, have to re-download everything and then have the same problems with this slow install.
If it is an issue with a corrupted file on the hard drive, while everything would have to be redownloaded and installed, a format would definitely fix the issues you are having.
MY friend had a similar issue with his the night he bought it. took it to my place, i formatted his drive for him, booted it back up, the console did it's thing to reinstall all the OS and update stuff, and has worked flawlessly since.
They had to comply with the laws regarding standby devices. If a device is fully powered off, there is a limit to what it is allowed to draw. Which is typically less than 1 watt these days. Hardly enough to charge. So if it were to charge controllers while powered off, it would be breaking some regulations there, hence the standby mode.
So with you on Resogun. I put a good 20 hours into that game already. Maybe more. I just had to platinum it, which I finally did yesterday. I do seem to enjoy Killzone more than most. At this point I just wish Battlefield would get patched already, as I'm dying for some 64 player conquest.
Are you playing KZ multiplayer too? I'm so, so stressed about figuring out which game to buy. The Battlefield campaign looks really not for me, but then again it's hard to imagine I'd enjoy KZ multiplayer more than Battlefield's. Did you buy any other PS4 games?
I have B4, AC4, Killzone as the games I actually bought. B4 is pretty well unplayable until early next week unless you're ok with 20 player team deathmatch. Havent gotten into AC4 yet, and only started getting into Killzone. I was just too hooked on resogun after the first weekend lol. But now that I got the platinum for it, I've begun playing my other games.
I havent tried MP for Killzone yet though. Enjoying the campaign a lot so far.
