I'm trying to remember a PC game from the 90s/early 2000s. It was a factory management game where you placed machinery and conveyor belts to create items. You used forklifts to move incoming materials and completed products to/from a loading dock. I think there was a worker management system as well. I don't think much of the game took place out of the factory screen/menus but it's been so long I could be mistaken.
Hopefully someone can figure out this (probably not very good) game that I used to play, thanks
I've been looking forward to the Discovery Tour release since launch and after messing with it today it was worth the wait. As a history nerd it is great having a virtual guided tour with additional artifacts from museums included. It's packed with a good amount of varied tours and is a very good replacement for the database from the previous games.
I finished the main story a few days ago and really enjoyed it. Bayek and Aya are decently fleshed out characters whose paths make sense for each one. The story really gets moving toward the end and I ended up concentrating on the main missions since it got interesting. The reveal of Aya becoming Amunet was a good sign that they don't think the fans are complete idiots. Going to the assassin's bureau afterwards was a great AC1 throwback with the similar layout.
As far as modern day stuff -
I'm really interested in where they go with the introduction of William Miles. I suppose a quest for revenge is a bit more reasonable than the mission became in AC3.
Overall, I really recommend the game to anyone who enjoyed the previous AC games and I'm more excited for the future of the series than I was going in.
Some thoughts so far, just got to Alexandria at level 12...
I'm enjoying the stealthiness of the game. Hiding in grass and stalking guards feels really good.
The world is really good looking and feels huge without feeling too boring.
Using Senu to plan out attacks has been a good replacement to eagle vision.
Bayak is a decently written character so far. He's similar to Ezio that he's not too serious like Connor/Evie or too jokey like Edward/Jacob.
On the other hand...
My god that intro was terrible. You get no background for why he's doing what he does until after you're done with the first area. Easily the worst tutorial in any AC game.
The Destiny style mouse menus are so annoying. I disliked them in that game and here it's no better. It's even worse outside the animus when you're going through the infodump files.
Is it just me or is there no encyclopedia like in past games after you come across people/places? I liked perusing that when I needed a quick break from gameplay.
I'm not sold on the loot system. It's not bad, but just feels out of place in an AC game.
The combat is catching on a little with more abilities but it's still not fun yet. I'm having more fun being a sneaky archer headshotting fools than when I have to get into open combat.
There's a lot more game to go so my thoughts will change but this is the type of game that you need to slog through the beginning to get to the better parts. I'm going to wait till the end to judge the story as a whole.
