   In Britain we have this little holiday called 'Pancake day', where we just eat awesome pancakes and stuff. Its one of the main reasons people immigrate over here.

I believe theres some religious link to the celebration of eating awesome pancakes, so heres a Wikipedia link to that stuff. Me, My celebration of pancake day equals to, awesome pancakes, Budweiser and Princess Mononoke on tv.

Try decent beer, homemade batter and fresh lemon next time.  Fair enough on the scotch pancakes though, they are harder to make.

Here in Ireland, it's called Pancake Tuesday.  I'm not sure if they should count if you don't make the batter yourself.

What the hell are those things in the above picture.  Excuse my global ignorance (I am American after all) but they look nothing like any pancake I've ever seen.  They look more like tortillas.  This is pancakes.

@PenguinDust: In Norway we got another word for something resembling your American pancakes, which is usually a dessert. The traditional style of pancakes is usually served with bacon and potatoes (which is awesome). 
 
I may have to eat pancakes today; now that i have read this thread. That and Champions League (football(soccer)) should make up a pretty good evening.

That's how the rest of the world makes pancakes. It's the same thing without baking powder.

Thanks for the information.  Come to think of it, we do have something called "Belgian pancakes" served in the States at some diners and breakfast restaurants.  Sometimes, they wrap around saucy-fruit and are covered with powered sugar.  They are flat unlike our traditional fluffy pancakes.

wtff? they have instant frozen pancake in europe? looks like tortilla. and is budweiser over there treated like heineken in usa? seems like import stuff is auto good. but.. budweiser is good so much props for budweiser although its not import for me. budweiser is better than miller in fact. miller smell too much alchohol that give headache. 
 
although heineken feel like tight chest.... people still love it in usa. im like meh... dont like heinken although im in usa.
 
 
edit: ahahahhaha i jus read some of others post and found out im not the only one that thinks the suposed pancake picture looks like tortilla. ahahhaha wtf!
 
and wtf? sweets and alchohol???? i only eat non-sweets and acholhol. like pork rinds with amber bock or asahi.

We eat Semla here in Sweden. it's a lot better than pre-made pancakes.

wow i like to try some since its from finland as well as sweden. finland seems cool. and sweden... if i dont mention sweden u might get hard feeling. so yeah menla looks good. is there one in usa? if so where can i find it? any grocery stores?

Hey peeps. Ok I have to say that pre made pancakes are not the norm on 'Pancake day'. I was just being lazy on this particular day. It is in fact, the norm to make them yourselves. So in that instance I guess I failed :( I do however usually make them, so yay.
 
Budweiser is NOT the Heiniken of the U.K. it is just my personal fave beer to drink at home. Id say the Heiniken of the U.K. would be Fosters.
 
And yes, you should all move to the U.K. for this awesome holiday. It rules.
