Kingdom Hearts. As a kid the real time action was the best I had played and thought it was just the bees knees (still do really) but man do people hate that series haha

The nervous "haha" at the end really got me.

@markjw Thanks for your suggestions. I'm from Canada - so I really need to secure tickets before I go. You've been an Enforcer before? How far did you travel to be an Enforcer?

I used to live in Jacksonville, Florida and fly to Boston and Seattle every year for PAX. Now I'm in Sacramento, CA and it's not that far of a flight to get to Seattle (still a bit to get to Boston though). I've been an Enforcer since East 2013. It's totally worth it. Did I mention the afterparties and E-fellowship?

Limiting the number of passes you can buy in one go at queue... Pretty weak.

It's not that much of a limitation, honestly, given that you can buy up to four of each kind of pass in a single go through the queue.

And four is a rational size for a group of friends or a family. Kids under a certain age don't need passes afaik.

@reisz: The way Penny Arcade sells their tickets is horrible.

How would you suggest they do it? There's no good way. They're going to sell out immediately no matter when they do it.

Khoo's talked about this before and what Marino says is true: there's no "better" way to do it.

PA has tried a couple things to make it easier for someone to get into PAX though. They've added to the amount of one-day passes available, not sure if they've decreased the amount of 3-days or kept them the same. The idea is to have people come for maybe one day or two out of the four, but instead people end up buying four one day passes because they've got the dosh to do it. They've added a whole day to the convention (4 days of work for me now, woo), but people want to be there the whole time. PA literally can't sell more tickets until the Washington State Convention Center expands, because they're running up against the limit imposed by fire safety whatever. People think magical fairy "scalpers" are buying up a billion passes and reselling them, but they're not. There's a rational limit to how many you can buy. The passes you see for sale on eBay or Craigslist or whatever are normally from real normal people. I sold a 3-day PAX East pass on eBay in 2013 for like $70 when I found out I was going to be an Enforcer and didn't need it.

Would you rather have a randomized lottery, like San Diego Comic-Con? That's a frustrating system.

Suggestions for getting a ticket? Sure.

If you live in Seattle, stand outside the convention and try to buy one from someone. Scalper or legit person, whatever it takes, make sure you go to a badge check booth to make sure it's legit.

If you don't live in Seattle: eBay or Craigslist. I don't know of any other alternative. I don't think the official forum allows people to sell badges (it didn't when I still went there).

If you want guaranteed access to future PAXen forever and don't mind volunteering your time: become an Enforcer. It's worth it, trust me. It's too late to become one for Prime this year though. PAX South and PAX East next year will probably need more though.

Yeah just saw that before. Wouldn't mind Carrie on board. She'd be a cool fit I think, plus there's history there. Was never too keen on Paul honestly. Obviously it's neither since this is a recent happening and the hire has already been made.

Also Zac, who is doing part time work for Giant Bomb at E3, I believe said he had something lined up after that. Lemme dig up the tweet.

I said earlier in the thread that E3 maybe is sort of a test run for him. Wonder if he ends up being the permanent video guy.

Would be alright with me. I'm gonna try to track him down during E3.

I want Chufmoney aka Anthony Gallegos!

That would be genuinely awesome. He would have to move out of Seattle though. I enjoy The Comedy Button, (even though sometimes their jokes can get overly referential), and Anthony seems like a real grounded yet funny dude. And he is kind of a more classic "nerd" for lack of a better word, and very enthusiastic about everything. I think he would be a good fit. Not to mention, he has no issues living a reality-tv style life, as he is doing it already.

If only the timing had worked out, this would be great. Anthony is awesome, and his last day at Zombie Studios is Friday.

What? I missed the fact he was leaving Zombie already? Interesting.

He got laid off.

Their game had just shipped. This happens a lot: hiring a bunch of people to get the title out the door then letting a bunch of them go because you don't have anything for them to work on after the game is out.

I hope Anthony finds something to do soon.

The site is back up, running on Tumblr. Nothing on it so far.

Was the domain one of Ryan's? BatmanBatmanBatman.com doesn't expire for another few months.

Who runs the twitter account?
