I prefer Sci-Fi personally but I'm torn as my favourite story is a fantasy. Albeit a very dark fantasy called Berserk but the image @bluefish dropped with Warhammer has me immensely intrigued! Also, a new desktop background image.

@onarum: I will completely agree with you about horror games that just involve you running away. I find when you have to confront and fight the monster/enemy more effective as a scare then running away. But, I've become desperate about horror games that I decided to check this out.

So, I suppose this leads me to a follow up question. What has been the most effective horror game as of late that is available on the P.C.?

I've decided to check this game out after what I've heard and from what I've read Patrick post about. I'm not trying to sound like some manly man but am I missing something? I've got past the point of the sewers and I am into the Male Ward. I've gone into this game blind and I've yet to have anything give me that sense of fear that past Horror games have given me. Granted the last "true horror game" that gave me that feeling was the Condemned series.

So, has anyone truly been afraid of this or is it just over-hype and people playing up the fear for the audience?

Beautiful! thanks to @fisk0, @xanadu, and @therealmoot for your feedback and I've grabbed myself a copy of Malwarebytes and Windows Defender(tried to grabbed MSE but I have Windows 8.1, probably should have said something but... hindsight and all.) So thank you for answering my first question!

Which leads me to the second question. While I thank @wolfgame for the suggestion of DVD Santa. From what I've read I'm a bit iffy on checking it out. So I'm still open for suggestions.

Also, if a third question, if I wasn't asking enough (sorry). What would be a good video compression tool?

Hello everyone! I have two somewhat unrelated questions.

The first being, what is everyone using for anti virus software and which is the best to use. I got tired of the daily spamming from AVG for other services I don't want to use and I'm curious what people consider the best to use.

Second being, I'm tired of having boxes of Dvd's and recently bought the storage space that should be enough to store them digitally and with the backlog of probably 350+ Dvd's. What is the best program would people suggest I use to transfer my collection to free up shelf space?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance!

I never cared for the last and I don't see why this would change anything. Yay, for unneeded ego stroking?

I'd also suggest Rocksmith. As stated before it may not be the best way to learn as it does have some slight issues but it did teach me more than what a guitar teacher would in about 20 hours. Maybe, I had a really shitty teacher when I first tried a decade ago but recently picking it up this summer with rocksmith I have become a better player then I ever was...

I'm glad I never picked this up. I was interested at first but with the removal of 17 songs after people bought this game and basically deleting saves is just egregious.

I've never really cared about the story to Mass Effect all that much but why get all flustered about a change of writers? I give the person credit for even attempting this considering how vile and spiteful the community was to the last writer. I know I wouldn't!

Name a writer that has only produced masterpieces without having a single blemish on their career.
