@JokerSmilez: Don't get spin first like most people. You want to go for Q, W, E, then Q whenever possible, and W when you can't level Q, and of course your Ult when that shows up.
Knowing whether to stay and fight, or run away is the most important, and hardest thing. Heavy CC teams really do well to cancel you out. It's hard to do do anything with a 70%+ crit chance if you're being constantly CC'd.
I find my games really vary depends on my lane partner. It seems best to have someone with a good stun. I really like laning with Eve, because of her stealth/stun combo. Being a melee DPS character, it can be hard to get close to the enemy, and stay close. Even with your spin and slow, most champs have some way to attempt to get out of it. Or you'll spend the 4 seconds they're slowed chasing, and maybe get two hits, which depending on the situation, might not be enough. Exhaust can come in handy.
It's hard to give tips on Trynd, since he's so dependent on who he's facing. I had to fight a Le Blanc, Ryze, Morgana, Shen, and... one other stun/snare champ, the other day, and I couldn't do anything.
Which is why Cleanse can be helpful, to stop good kiting champs, but overall, while Tyrnd is a beast, especially late game, if he's focused, it's pretty much over. You might be able to pull off one or two kills in a team fight, and a lot of the time people either keep hitting you while your in your Undying Rage or they ignore you, depending on the point in the game, you can probable down one with 100% crits, and maybe a second.
Yesterday I got to this point and downed a Pantheon in 3 swings, and got away with it by spinning away.
Oh, that's the other thing, learn where you can spin away to. A character like Kassadin is still going to be able to chase your ass down and silence the shit out of you, but it's a shot at life, and knowing how to escape could save yours.
And remember to eat those stacks when your Undying Rage ends, it can also save your life. The worst thing is when you spin away to safety right into some Neutrals that kill you because you have 3 health, when you could have had 400. And if it's that late, you could even one shot a couple a minions and spin keep running if they're chasing, and maybe have like 4 more stacks to eat.
Like I said, it's pretty situational. It's not like giving tips on Ryze where I can just say, "Slide your finger across the keyboard. Win." =p
