I'd like to pitch in too, if you guys need. I'm a CS student, first year, so I have tons to learn in the programming front, but could probably throw some things together. I also enjoy working with writing and mechanics, should that be necessary. I've never made any complete game or anything, but why not start now?

Well, it does seem you can get a Deathadder on amazon right now for $46.98. The lefty version is even a dollar cheaper!

@cirdain: Yeah...I've googled a few, but it still seems highly limited in what's actually available in the high quality mouse category. I like the look of the logitech for example, but a quick google doesn't turn up one for lefties.

Any recommendations for a lefty? Or is the deathadder pretty much the only one?

Do these mouses come in lefty flavors? I use a righty mouse right now, and it's a bummer because it's weird to hold and the buttons are basically useless to me.

For this boss and for pretty much every boss I recommend the down attack/spin attack. It does tons of damage to bosses. If you get the double-jump timing down Torment becomes really easy coupled with the spin attack, though I usually do the super jump because I can do that a lot more consistently.

Let's see...here's a couple of tips that haven't been mentioned yet:

  • Base classes learn skills at Level 1 and Level 10. Promoted classes (those classes you get after a master seal) learns skills at Level 5 and Level 15.
  • Some characters can only attack with specific types of items. (As in, not normal weapons). Don't worry, because unlike other Fire Emblem games (I think?) You can buy these items from a shop, so don't be afraid to make these characters a normal part of your team. Plus, they can second seal into normal classes.
  • This might be spoilers, so I'll try and be vague. Some characters that you can recruit inherit skills from other characters. Their skills (or stats for that matter) are not locked into place until you recruit them. They will inherit the last skill on the list of both their parents, and you can play with the order on the equip skills menu to change what's inherited.
  • Don't forget about spotpass! Assuming you can connect to the internet, you're constantly downloading awesome free content! Check the bonus box on the wireless menu for that stuff. Lot's of opportunity there for extra fights and good items.

Hope that was helpful! It's tons of fun, just don't be afraid to experiment, and assuming you're like me, restart so you don't lose characters.

@Hailinel: It's not too bad. He just needs about 2 kills, maybe 3 to get it. I used allies to weaken, and then Donny paired up with Frederick to make him less squishy. Kellem works too for that. Him just getting a little damage on an enemy is worth experience too, paired up, he won't die in one battle, just make sure you can finish it with somebody else. I didn't have too much trouble even with me getting dual attacks I didn't want on a few enemies, killing them when I was trying to set them up for Donny.

I really enjoy supergreatfriend's LPs. He's informative and amusing, and does great editing too.

This is his website http://www.supergreatfriend.com/ which collects all of his LPs.

His 100% run of Deadly Premonition is great, as is his LP of SWERY's previous work, Spy Fiction. Illbleed is another good one to watch, that game is just so weird, a clip from it appeared on Patrick's Worth Reading a few weeks ago. Also, I highly recommend watching through his current LP of Mode.

Fusing is incredibly important, but you don't need to worry too much about making some sort of ultimate persona thanks to the compendium. You can always just try again. If you don't fuse, quite simply, you'll have a lot of trouble keeping up with the difficulty of the dungeons. Just fuse things. Don't worry about breaking things. They'll most likely be better than what you had.
