Been using the 360 wired controller for over a year, no issues whatsoever and i prefer the ergonomics over the dualshocks. just bought the wireless xbox one controller yesterday, plugged it in using the micro usb charger cable for my blackberry (yes, still a loyal blackberry user!), downloaded the drivers and it has worked with every game I throw it at so far (fifa 14, ray man, sonic). havent tried any FPS since i prefer my MKB for that. The Xbone controller is great, highly recommended. Btw microsoft announced the "wired" version out in Nov, don't bother, just get the wireless one and hook it up with any micro usb cable you have lying around.

@isomeri: yeah its quite silly that they announce the wired-version of the controller for windows but still won't work wirelessly with your pc..should've just announced it together with a dongle.

Hi Guys,

So Microsoft just revealed the Xbox One "wired" controller for PCs, out in November. I find this announcement odd since they released windows drivers for the Xbox One controller a few months back; all we need is a micro usb cable and the drivers.

Anyways I've been meaning to get the controller (the one for sale now with a play and charge kit) to use with my PC and was wondering if the cable that comes with the play and charge kit can be used to play games on the PC or do I need to get a separate micro USB cable? I've read on a few forums about the controller not functioning properly with some cables yet work fine with others. Any input is appreciated, cheers :)

Most memorable games I've played recently would have to include:

- Far Cry 3 (havent tried blood dragon)

- Borderlands 2

- Diablo 3 (havent tried ROS)

- Bastion

- Torchlight

- LA Noire (highly recommended!)

- Bioshock Infinite (havent tried any DLCs)

- Dead Space 1 - 3 (the first one is best in terms of scary atmosphere but all enjoyable)

- the Witcher 1 and 2
