I own a vite, used to play it quite a lot. Persona 3 and 4, Zero Escape, variouse indie games, for a good while it was my dedicated Spelunky consol. But the thing came out in early 2012. I don't really get why people expect Sony and other developers to keep caring about it. What other pieces of enitertaniment technology did you buy five yeara ago, that you still give a shit about?

The reason the vita died, was not that Sony burried it, or stoped supporting it. It's simply becuase it's old and outdeaded.

I have never built a machine myself, and honestly didn't really see myself building one. But here I am, few weeks before Fallout, and a lot of money to blow. So I have decided to get myself a rig. For as mush as people talk about the process as: "Really not that difficult when you first get started", I still feel a nervous breakdown waiting around every corner. What confuses me the most is the differences between parts of the same type. Like, why can I find some i5 cpu's cheaper than some i7's? And what is even the differences tween the dozens of different i5's and i7's.

Other times I get confused on the relationship between price vs performance. Is this video card worth the extra 100$, the number only goes up 970 to 980. Or am just throwing money into a bottomless pit. But the big one, that really gets me worried, is rather or not my component fits together.

I have build a list, and would really appreciate if someone would look it over. I'm very open to suggestions, and not afraid of ridicule. I just one a nice machine that will keep me going for years. Also, I would like to get 16 gb of ram. So do you buy two 8 gb, or is that a different thing all together.

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600k

MB: Asus Z170 Pro Gaming

RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR4 2400 (8GB)

SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB

HDD: Western Digital Black 2TB WD2003FZEX

VC: MSI GTX 970 4G

PSU: Corsair CX600M 600 watt 80 Plus Bronze

Case: Nzxt Source 340

Cooloer: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

So me and my brother downloaded this, loved it, and broke it. Like it's not even fun. We both know that every 5th brick is a gem one. So from the first brick, it becomes a race for fucking the other one over and getting all the gems. The character doesn't matter, the placement barley matters.

I know you can change the frequency of gems. But that doesn't really do the trick.

Any tips, and experiences.

Hmmm, I don't know. I'm not loving the wording.

It's a little imprecise and too open ended. If we want our message across, we need to be more accurate and clearer with our message. For one, at this point the name of the next season hasn't yet been officially revealed. No point in guessing about it in our rant, instead let's focus on the known.

But it's good enough for now. I will buy might plain ticket, but that is it. I wont buy the signs.

@Fredchuckdave I mostly agree, but I don't think a lot of your points really apply to video games. We are not discussing integration or economics. We were discussing video games, an art form. Art doesn't need to be "efficient". Diversity doesn't slow down the progressions and efficiency of art. Diversity doesn't come with cost, it only serves to widen the media.

I watch a lot of films. Like a lot of fucking films. More so than I play video games (Probarly because of the reasons dissused so in this thread) I get really nerdy about my films. But I don't really watch a lot of "white male 16-25" films. Instead I spend most of my time watching fringe stuff from the darkest parts of the internet, and the outer edges of the globe. At the moment I'm trying to catch up on films from last year. So far my top 10 persist of films from: Turkey, Norway The Philippines, Japan(three of them), Poland, Sweden, Ireland, and... Well I don't really know how qualify the last one. To compare I think all of my top 10 games was from America, with exception of Ground Zeros.

In the first half of Tropical Malady you watch as two young men get to know one and another. In the last half you get to watch the same man get to known one and another, but this time it's in the shape of a shape shifting tiger demon and his hunter.

I like these films because they deliver something I can't really get most other places. But games are still so far from that, ones in awhile you hear about someone foreign making a bad phone game. But most of the time, even indie games, just feel like the same old thing.

My favorite director of the last decade is Apichatpong Weerasethakul form Thailand. I want to play a real Thai game. A game as strange and deep, and transcendental as Weerasethakul film. That's why I want diversity.

I have a hard time believing most diet/ health advice.

1. Because it seems to change ever other week. No one ever seem to agree. One day coffee is the most unhealthy shit, the next day it gets you cancer, the day after, it's suddenly super healthy again. Just 10 years ago fat was public enemy nr. 1, today no one seems to give a shit.

2. Food and off the counter drugs seems like maybe the two biggest markets riped for misleading and manipulating. So many people and so much money evolved. Which makes me very skeptical of any science or breakthroughs that gets media attention.

This sometimes leads me down some dark conspiracy like paths. Especially cornering the proposed danger of cholesterol.

I think the issue with those pretty much come down to how the media mishandles science reporting. Media treats every new science paper as if it's overthrowing all previous knowledge, when in fact no single paper can do that, since science is consensus based and the point of these papers are to get other scientists to repeat the studies and see if the results are the same or not, and to try to find flaws within the methodology of the previous published studies. Reaching a consensus takes years or decades and hundreds of studies reaching the same conclusion, but media treats the outliers - the one off studies that wildly deviates from consensus as the "new truth", when in fact most of the outliers are due to poor methodology or small sample sizes resulting in unreliable data.

Yeah you are totally right. It's not that I don't trust science. It's that I don't trust how the way media/ Food corporations / Big Pharma / etc. treat that date, and translate it into products or life styles.

I don't know all the science behind cholesterol fat, I won't outright deny that it can have harming effects on some people. But the market that has been build around cholesterol lowing drugs and diets is disgusting.
