So I fired up the Xbox yesterday and enjoyed a few rounds of Blur multiplayer. Got my ass beat mostly, as I just started multiplayer in earnest after finishing the single player, so I'm a bit behind in the mod department, but no matter. Still fun. And then? In first place in a really intense race and the finish line in sight... DISCONNECTED. Host rage quit or something? Does Blur have host migration? Doesn't matter. I got shafted.  
 
Whatever. So I move on to Splinter Cell: Conviction, aiming to grab one of the last achievements I have left, Demolition Crew (for the DLC maps). I take out every propane tank and fire extinguisher (yes, even the one in the last area), finish off the last guy and... nothing. Turns out the achievement is sometimes bugged and you gotta clear your cache before it'll work.  
 
WHATEVER. I'll just play some Hydro Thunder Hurricane, blow off some steam. Nothing but connection issues. Xbox Live was freaking out. Disconnections left and right, problems finding games, joining games then being told they were full, BLEH. Add to that the fact that you only level up at all in that game if you come in the top three (I thought persistent character advancement was the thing now), and, you know what? Forget it. 
 
Xbox OFF for the evening. 
 
Anyone ever just have a really frustrating gaming day? Not just being frustrated at a game, but a day where no matter what game you attempt, nothing really goes your way?

I suppose I do, but not of that variety.  It's usually not with technical issues, but I consider it an "off" day if I keep on failing and losing in an online multiplayer game.

Maybe, but it's usually because I'm playing a multiplayer game, and usually it's because I suck ass at said multiplayer game.

 Apparently you can't get achievements playing StarCraft 2 offline and today Charter disconnects shortly before i can get my awards... i freaking hate this service... APPARENTLY THAT ALSO GOES FOR HITTING THE "POST REPLY" BUTTON ON gb.... Screw it i ain't retyping that

Counter Strike cursed me with my fair share of "those" days for years.

i guess, one time the only thing that i wanted to play was counter strike source. there was a problem with steam, i couldn't connect. i couldn't play counter strike. i was disappointed for a few hours that day.

yup these days are CURSED !!!!

I haven't had a day like that. If my Xbox was acting shitty, I would go to my PS3. I love having more than one console this generation.

Blur has host migration.

I think its gods way of telling you to go outside.

Most days, I don't even play a game.

Don't know about a day spanning multiple games but I have had horrible days in Super Street Fighter IV.  What's worse is the angrier and more frustrated I get, the worse I do. I remember a whole week I was having an awful experience that all started with a bad Endless Battle experience. I usually play endless battle to just mess around with characters I don't usually play. It keeps it fun and different from the stress I feel in a ranked match plus its a slow but steady way of unlocking all the colors and taunts. This one match however rubbed me the wrong way. 
 
The guy spends the entire match throwing and I somehow can't collect myself to counter the obviously telegraphed throws. If it were just this, I wouldn't mind at all. I'm just playing to pass the time. What made it irritating was the fact that I had decided to turn off my global mute on Xbox Live that day. Don't ask me why, I just did. What came from my TV speakers was the incessant laughing and mocking of my playstyle with a character I don't ever use. The strange distorted laugh you hear over the subpar quality of Xbox headsets. I left the game a few matches later but that one match just stuck with me whenever I fired up Street Fighter days after. I lost multiple matches back to back for days.
