Wait, he's got a drug addiction problem? Didn't know that. Thought his shaking hands was because of some rain-related disorder and that blue stuff in the vial was his meds.

Downloaded the demo and played it. The first part (set in an apartment) was awesome, second part was kinda meh. Scott Shelby, the private detective seems to be a lot more interesting character than Norman 'CSI guy' Jayden from the FBI.

If that option's there, then good. I don't have to worry about my younger cousins dropping in on me (which happens a lot).

Ethan Mars, partially because I used to be an architect, mainly because I like good father figures.

and here we have an example of how varying tastes in art can be. Personally I find all of them to be equally decent, though at first when I saw the Japanese cover I thought it was that same origami figure with the paper melting under the rain.

On youtube, most of the time I turn off the comments. This is because most people have very few meaningful things to say ("LOL! THat was soo funny!!"). However, sometimes they go into the realm of sheer madness, where common sense, logic and rationality is just a myth, and politeness has no meaning.

I was watching this Let's Play of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories by Nertom (You can view episode one here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wPyu1GfLC8 ) and I turned the comments back on because I wanted to see if others had played the game and what their thoughts on Nertom's playthrough were. Some of them offered tips on finding secrets, others wanted to help him get through some of the more difficult parts. For the most part, reading the comments was good; I got to learn more about the game.

Then today I had forgotten to turn the comments off, and inadvertently stumbled upon a bizarre argument about politics, religion, war and ridiculously long text-walls that ultimately made no sense. Everyone from every side of the argument was childish and they were all trading flimsy retorts, trying to pretend they were smarter than they really were yet clearly made little to no research.

The video in question? It's just a cat playing a keyboard. How a cat playing on a keyboard could possibly relate to the world's ills and lead to angry and childish debates (if you could even call trading insults and making stuff up debating) is beyond my level of understanding.

Seriously, the symbol of the internet (especially the youtube comments section) should be a freakin' mental asylum the size of a continent.

I'm turning the comments off, and leaving a note for myself to remember to only turn them on for Let's Plays.

@Siris: Yeah, the simon says nonsene really ruined some otherwise good scenes.
