If you intend to play 3, 4 and 5 this is a poor starting point because it's a much better playing game than those. and will hurt that experience quite a bit. Same for Yakuza 0.

The poll is incomplete. I don't leave the couch for less than 10 grand.

Yeah I'm not leaving the house unless I really have to. If you want me to have $100 so bad you're gonna have to bring it over.

I swear I saw Brad or Vinny or someone playing this at this point but I don't see a quick look listed. Was it removed or am I getting old?

@kmfrob: I played the whole whole XIII trilogy too so I understand your concern there. That shit was "hide-your-face-in-shame" embarrassing even in a room completely by myself. The only parts of FFXV that gave me that feeling are the mechanic Cindy and her godawful southern accent, and some other NPCs with their equally awful southern accents.

I think you've got the wrong impression of Final Fantasy XV. One of the best things about it is there isn't a ton of exposition dumps or long cut scenes. It moves along at a brisk pace, though that is also to its detriment. The story feels rushed and unfinished on the back half. But if you're worried about being bogged down by endless cut scenes and redundant dialogue, worry no more. FFXV is maybe my favorite game in the series as far as the writing and presentation goes. It's very not-JRPG in ways I never expected of a Final Fantasy game.

I played it recently while I was jacked up on painkillers after surgery for a week or so. Even got all of the trophies. It's hard to go back to, the modern day writing made me want to die, and it's quite ugly. Though once your eyes get used to the graphics it was fun enough. If you have played Black Flag recently it could be a harder sell because the two are very similar.

I pre ordered this almost a year ago because The Stick of Truth was free with the pre order and it was on sale. They refunded my pre-order months ago and I was like hey woo free game.

It's worth mentioning that 9S's Pod actually says it at the end of ending E, "Nier Auto-mah-tah."

I rarely get invested in video game stories any more, but this one really pulled me in after the trip through Maker's End and the introduction of Ted Faro. It's been a long time since a fictional character has caught my attention and evoked such feelings of a disgust. And it built as the plot progressed.

Fuck that guy too much.

-Co-op doors. I swear I remember a part in Resident Evil 6 as Chris where you have to cue up with your partner to open a door, and then there is another damn door to cue up on after that, and then you run a bit AND THERE IS ANOTHER!
