Out of the few Final Fantasy's I've played it has to be 3. Not because it was truly that hard, but it was enduring because the last hour of the game leading up to like 4 boss battles there wasn't any places to save. So if you screw up, you have to start over from the beginning of the tower.

" I don't think it really matters. I don't know if I'll care about a game or not without it's premise, and Shepard dying is part of that premise. It's just the setup of the damn game, not like it's a twist or anything, it's literally the first thing that happens in the game.  There are more important story elements to it. A story isn't all about it's twists either, it could just be the culmination of events that make up a great story, so I really don't see the big deal.  "
It's more of the feeling that it kills the mood of the moment, but I see what you're saying.

When news about ME3 start pouring in are you guys going to be flowing it or just closing your eyes and coving your ears till it comes out? Personally I'm just going to avoiding it as much as possible, because first of all, I liked the first two games, there would be a very slim chance that something is going to kill the game for me. Next is that a lot of the time, stuff that the developers release to the press seems like small bits and chunks of the story when you read it, but when you play the game, it's like hey I already know this stuff!

It really didn't happen that much in ME2, but there is still always the chance of it happening for ME3, where it kinda kills the mood of the story because you read it like 3 months earlier. Just imaging how much funner it would have been walking into ME2 not knowing that the Normandy and Shepard are going to be shitted on by the Collectors. Also that they even reveled the Collectors and some of the stuff they were doing kinda killed the mood of the story when they came in to play their very large but small role, only thinking ya, ya, they're stealing human......ok, but for what?  Which they stuff into the last 5 minutes of the game, which brothered me, but whatever

All in all, I know a lot of the time it's a PR thing just to get people hyped about the game, but how many of you guys are going to follow all the information that is presented before the game, or is it really for the best of just to close our eyes and ears and wait in the corner till the day it comes out.

Also do you guys think it's possible to just shutter out everything or spoilers about a game till launch date these days, like hey Shepard dies in the first five minutes or yo man you get to kill a F**K load of F**KING people in MW2, like F**K man we are not going to F**KING keep this a surprise

please note, I'm not fully bashing developers, because there are many other people that just bring out information that many people don't want to see.

I wish you can just send someone else to do the scanning, I mean shit I'm commander of the f**king  Normandy, why do I have to do it.  But something nice that they could do in ME3 is something like Assassin Creed 2 with passively earning money, but in this case it would be minerals by like investing in something to mine for me while I'm on missions and cruising space.
