I never understood how the the staff of the BBC and production staff for the show kept the things in the show that caused the numerous controversies over the years. The show is not aired live, and yet it seems that all the people working on the show and the people at the BBC approving to air an episode, never raised any flags before an episode was put out. The people who edit and directed the show know what has been said or done during filming, and yet it still went on.
I'd watch more touring cars, GT and WRC, but they basically don't show any of that stuff with on the channels available to me. (Basically Fox Sports Speed and TSN)
After watching the season openers for F1 and MotoGP, I am way more interested to watch MotoGP over F1 this season. Both have had strange rule changes and their inherent problems, but MotoGP comes across as being better to watch, as far as top level road racing goes. Maybe it is too soon to outright chose one over the other, but MotoGP seems better since the races are shorter, the action more intense and the personalities more interesting.
