  • MP continues to be great and bolstered by the new movement mechanics this year. The ways you could customize the appearance of your character was nice.

  • Just fun.

  • This game has great stealth mechanics, but if you want to go in guns blazing, that works to. Great assortment of guns, and I surprisingly loved how it ended. The side content was repetetive. Suffers from ubisoft bloat that overwhelms the map with icons instead of interesting content. World was beautiful, but not much variety.

  • P.T.

  • Looked great and I really enjoyed the different powers and how it changes how you move around the city. Moving around became a genuinely entertaining part of the game instead of a chore like in so many other open world games. In my mind this has always been the biggest strength of the franchise.

  • Another RPG on this list with a new twist on the classic JRPG battle mechanic.

  • fun with friends

  • I played it on hard and really enjoyed the battle system. Beating enemies, and especially bosses, on the hard setting required careful use of the slowing mechanic and command options to manipulate battle order. The interruption mechanic is key, and playing on hard made it mandatory to master it instead of it just being tacked on.

The dialog and story weren't great. But the unique battle system alone puts this game on this list.

Played but not on the list:

1) Destiny. Has so much potential but fails to deliver the content that is needed to fulfill this potential. Too much "filler".

2) Shadow of Modor. Not liking it as much as everybody else. Haven't finished it yet though, so I might add this to the list later.
