This past weekend I took a trip to Costco. They had their little restaurant type area and I was pretty hungry so I decided to eat there. I looked up at a menu and saw a picture of an ice cream cup (vanilla and chocolate swirled) and under it the words "Fat free yogurt". It didn't look at all like yogurt, so I decided to try some. It tasted like ice cream.  I've had yogurt before, ...

@Br3adfan: You should talk to teenagers more. Many teenagers believe that based on looks they are in love. Luckily, I'm smart enough to know that love is when you're with someone who sticks with you til' the end, no matter what.  Alright, Dr. Phil is done here. =P

Metal_Gear_Sunny reviewed Uncharted 2: Among Thieves 9:12AM
This is why I love Naughty Dog.
Nathan Drake is a great, lovable character. I'll be honest, the first Uncharted was a huge disappointment for me. The story and characters were great, but the combat was horrible. The enemies where bullet sponges and throwing a grenade was a pain in the ass. I eventually stopped playing the game for that reason.  When Uncharted 2 was announced, I was a little doubtful. But once I saw footage and I heard they fixed many of the gameplay ...

I just wanted to quickly state my opinions on the ads for Dragon Age Origins that are on Giantbomb. This is really how ads should be done. Most video game websites (I'm not mentioning any names here) just slap on some generic banner ads and call it a day. But Giantbomb's way of doing ads grabs my attention. Sure, they do have those banner ads, but they also have those hilarious photoshoped ads. Some were user created, by the way. Which brings me to my next point of holding contests relating to the product. It's a great way of promoting the game, while giving away a little something, and it gives us users something fun to do in the process.

So, hats off to you wonderful guys at Whiskey Media. You guys have earned more of my respect by these ads, and whatever you do, don't stop what you're doing! This stuff is great. It brings fun to advertisement, and those are two words I would never use in a sentence. Keep up the great work, duders.

Double Crossing: The Game
Double Crossing: The Game
This weekend I rented Uncharted 2. Dude, it's awesome. Right from the start the game grabs your attention, and so far it's been that way the whole time. I never got bored of the story. There are enough plot twists to keep you hooked. The dialog in the game is also very smart and charming. But I think the best part of the whole thing is that it never feels that you're taken out of the experience in a cut-scene. In fact, the whole game feels like an interactive cut-scene, and you do all the cool stuff in those cut-scenes. In some games, like *cough**cough* MGS4, it feels like it's taking you out of the experience just to get the story moving. That is not the case here.

There are some problems, though. The platforming in the game is a little screwy. It is also unclear at times. I often wondered where exactly was I supposed to be going, and when I jumped to where I thought I should be going I usually died. It's crazy trial and error, and I feel like I spend way too long on the platforming bits then I should have. Also, those heavy armored dudes are really dumb. Their shot guns kill you in about two shots, and it takes a long time to get them down.

But for me, the positives over-throw the negatives by a mile, and it makes the game really addicting. Shooting is fun is satisfying and fun, which make sense, because it's a shooter. Duh. The characters are lovable and the story is damn good.

I haven't been playing anything else of note, and with that said, I gonna go play some more Uncharted. Peace.

Yes, I do, I admit, but that's not the point of this post. The point of it is to is inform you that Foo Fighters are doing a live stream right now. And, dude, it's fucking awesome. I'll post my thoughts when it's done. Right now, I'm having an orgasm.

This can turn into an internet drinking game really quickly.

^ One of Dave's many, many smart ass comments.

--------------------------

Alright, It's over. Man. Holy shit. Dude. Was that awesome. I mean, I've been listening to this stuff for years, and to see it live, at pretty much the same time as it's happening, it brings an odd sensation to you. The reason why I posted this is because I really haven't seen a music group (that I'm interested in, anyways) do something like this. It is very awesome that the first time I see a band do this is Foo Fighters, because we all know I love em' to death. But, I don't think it would have been as good if, say Green Day, did something like this. Dave Grohl is a loveable guy, he has tons of personality and humor, and it shows in this stream. Like I said, I've been listening to this stuff for years, linking some songs to past experiences and feelings, and hearing this all live is an awesome. When they said they were playing "Big Me", I tried not to throw my pants off. Ok, I joking, but man. I love it. It's a nice feeling. Also, my sincere apologies to all of my followers on twitter. I have been typing the lyrics to many of the songs and freaking out over stuff on there. If I was someone else I would look at it and consider it spam, so I'm really sorry. But it's the fucking Foo Fighters.

So, with nothing else to say, I'm going to sleep. Gonna need it because I gotta rake those damn leaves tomorrow. Fuck you, Fall!

So, today a lot of people were sick due to the flu (swine and regular) and not just like 10 or 20. I'm talking 50. 50 people were absent to today. And because of that, my teacher was talking about how they had go get taught how to blog on the school website, in case school closes due to the "swine flu epidemic". Do you think that this would be the best way to handle the situation? I think it is. Sure, there are people who don't have internet access, but that's we have public libraries.

Please don't talk about how swine flu is over-rated. We all know that already.

No, this is not a rant, this is just your regularly scheduled update with your old pal Sunny. If you haven't gotten the pattern, every Sunday (or Monday morning, if I'm lazy on Sunday) I will make a blog post talking about games I've been playing. Enough introductions, let's jump to it.

I finished Arkham Asylum on Friday night. If you read my previous blog post on it, you would know that I really like it. Those opinions have not changed. I have to say though, the ending is rather anti-climatic. I won't say anything else about that.

SHOW ME YOUR RAGE!!
SHOW ME YOUR RAGE!!
Yesterday I rented Mortal Kombat vs. DC. I have never played a game in the series before (sue me) and seeing this game leans towards a more causal audience I decided to check it out. The combat is simple, yet satisfying. During fights, you see the characters get cut up. Cloths get ripped, etc. That's a really nice touch. There is a story more, but the story is less than interesting. It involves characters getting under the influence of "rage". Rage acts as a spreading disease in the game. Every character gets controlled by it, and it makes them...well...rage. (hence the name of the blog) Also, I wanted some extra trophies, but seeing that most of them require doing combo challenges, that won't happen.

If you were on the forums at around midnight last night you would probably know that I was looking for PC games that would run on my laptop. I found some. Last night, I played the free version of Peggle Extreme from Steam. I don't want to talk in-depth about a free game, so I'll summarize using an innuendo. Playing with balls have never been so much fun.

Today I bought Plants vs. Zombies. I got it on disk, because I don't have a credit card, and I got home only to find out that you can't register the game on Steam. Damn it! No achievements for me. I played a little of it, because it's Sunday afternoon, I don't play much games now. I really like it. It has a great sense of humor and a ton of charm, and watching the plants slowly kill the aliens is fun to watch.

Giantbomb looks good on my TV screen. You can't see it, but believe me.
Giantbomb looks good on my TV screen. You can't see it, but believe me.
I connected my laptop to my TV and played it like that for a bit. I'm used to playing games on big screens, so it only makes sense. It didn't really make much difference, it was just bigger. I also went on Giantbomb (as pictured) and man...does it look sexy on that screen. The black is the perfect shade and whatnot, the colors look good...you have to see it to get what I'm saying.

Well, that's all I've been up to. Tomorrow is school for me, I was out for two days due to being sick, so I expect some make-up work slap me in the face. Until next time, peace out peeps!
