My county in Virginia held a "special event" at the high school today, where students get swine flu shots for free. The fact that I'm a student, and the fact that I haven't even gotten my regular shots in yet, (don't know if that has anything to do with it) that makes this a no brainer. But, as expected, the lines were very LONG! I saw standing out there, 70 degree weather, wearing a coat, (god, why'd it get all warm all of a sudden!?) for two hours! It was boring. I should've brought my iPod so I could finish listening to this week's
Counter Culture Weekly (free viral advertising FTW) but I didn't. I'm an idiot.
So I went it, got my shot, sister started crying, as usual. When it was done, we had to stay in the room for fifteen minutes, just in case our body reacts to the shot poorly. I didn't like it at the time, because I knew I had tons of homework waiting for me at home, but looking back it was a pretty smart thing to do.
And so I bring you this quick blog to let you know that I am protected against this so called swine flu! What do you think of this whole mess, since we're on this subject?
EDIT
Time to address the fact that I know Swine Flu is overrated. I was forced to get it by my dumb parents who rely on Fox News for information. Also, this is not an informal thread, just a little something to let you know the process of getting the shot. I'm not a wimp, my parents are. =P
