Well, here's your weekly update from your friendly neighborhood Sunny. (Oh, wait, that's a Spiderman reference. Damn.) This week, and by this week I mean yesterday, I rented
Batman: Arkham Asylum. You may have heard this already, but it's pretty damn good. How good? It's "I have to stop playing this game because it's two in the morning" good. Everything from the satisfying combat, mission variety, and great presentation makes this game hard to put down. One of the things that I love about the game is the smart and well written dialog that comes out of the villain's mouths as they taunt you. It puts personality into an otherwise dark game. The amazing voice work is just icing on the cake.

One side of my perverted mind likes the look, but my critic's side doesn't.
I do have my gripes, though. For one,
Harley Quinn is way overdone. I get that their trying to make her the "sexy villain" or whatever, but her look in the game is pushing it a little. I also hate the Scarecrow sequences. The controls were not made for platforming, and they toss these levels in anyway. Although, the way that they re-told you that "hey, Batman's parents died" was pretty cool. Also, sometimes the game is a little unclear in terms of where you need to be and what you need to be doing. I look at the map a lot while playing the game, and it seems that this game needs a mini-map on screen because of that.
Other than those few small problems, the rest of the game is great. Keep in mind that I am not finished with the game yet. These are only impressions that I got playing the game so far. That's all I've been doing all weekend, so until next time, don't forget to drop your pants so the doctor can take your temperature!
EDIT- Thank you, Ahmad_Metallic!
