Cloud gaming won't work very well until the rest of the world catches up to Asia's internet level.

Blizzard and Valve are basically the best PC developers. Blizzard's recent games has been plagued with some problems (especially their writing team seems to have gone to shit), but they're games are still exceptional.

You know what the two have in common? Taking a long ass time to make games. WHERE'S MAH EPISODE THREE VALVE.

We're short on supply for extroverted gamers.

I'm introverted.

More time to polish and work on the game is always better, time is always a limited resource for game developers.

Thanks. I should probably mention that I was sketching another picture but then my drawing epicly failed to accurately draw that and instead got something else.

Sorry I lied, I'm actually no professional.

But just last week, I have begun my journey to become one. Professional what you ask? A digital artist. I am enrolled in BCIT (British Columbia Institute of Technology) for Digital Animation in a one year intensive program. I will be diving into the realm of 3D modelling, both 2D & 3D animating, rigging, texturing, lighting, special effects and all that cool stuff; so that we may be employed in the film, television or the gaming industry. Obviously as someone who has played games throughout his entire life, my primary aim is to become a game artist.

This is my first blog in over a year. Admittedly I've somewhat drifted off from the community, bumming around elsewhere and not paying much attention to GiantBomb. Though I'm mostly a nobody so it wasn't like my disappearance has had a big impact. At any rate, this serves as an introduction for the series "Don't worry, I'm a Professional". I will be documenting about my experience, joys, frustrations, rants and whatever in this blog, to share it with other curious individuals. Each 2-4 weeks I will try to publish a new blog about new learnings I've picked up or projects I wanted to show off. The focus is to demonstrate how these programs work and hopefully I will be effective in sharing the details.

Accompanying me in my blog will be "Derp the Cat", a cat illustration I designed just recently. I adore him, simply because I haven't drawn anything for five years. He is the second product of my drawings this year and for someone who has crap skills, he turned out pretty well. He will be assisting me with his silly questions.

If there's anything you want to ask, go ahead and ask away. Commentate, critique my drawing if you want. Brag about how you're already a game artist/animator. I will probably make a blog about my my first two weeks next week, though I'll have to see if it'll work.

Its more terrible in the long run, but I guess it makes some sense. I guess its similar to a phone subscription model. Some people just don't like handing over a large sum of money up front and would rather pay it over time, whether its because of their financial situation (funny) or they just don't like it.

Definitely sounds exciting, hope it turns out well. I think going into the future might be the right step, you can fit more craziness and not expect backlash if it doesn't take in a modern setting (i.e. realism).

It varies game to game. Some games such as Call of Duty, probably don't have a whole lot of personal love/attachment to it anymore, after it became a 2 year release thing and the studio heads were fired. One most remember that most of the programmers and artists are passionate gamers. The things we make, we probably care about them and strive to make do our best in making a quality game. Of course, this once again, is dependent on the studio. Studios that produce shovelware probably don't feel the same way.

North Korea is a shithole of a country, but the funny thing is that if you're going there you're basically travelling back into the past, because everything is aged and old there. Its the only "living example" of a 1960-70 nation that never advanced forward, they're still stuck in the past. Its also the only dystopian society left on the world, so I can understand why some people might find it interesting to visit North Korea.
