I started sometime in August or September in 2008. I had just started college and the 1up Show was gone due to the mass firings of 1up and EGM. I hated audio podcasts but figured I would at least try it. I immediately fell in love and I haven't missed a regular episode since. Its brought me nothing but joy and awkward public laughter ever since.
I felt the exact same way. I kept saying how silly I was for crying about some guy who I had one minor conversation with. Ryan and the rest of Giantbomb have helped it out so much though and its hard not to feel something. I used to work these two awful jobs on Sundays a few years ago. I had about 2 or 3 hours in between them and I would use them to watch the Whiskey Media Happy Hour. That was easily the highlight of my day and I don't know if I could have gotten through it without them. The bombcast has also lifted me up on some of my worst days. Its awesome to know other people have been going through the same sort of emotions and thoughts.
The only console I plan to buy is a Wii U. I have a pretty decent PC at the moment and nothing that Sony or Microsoft showed seemed that great. I might not buy either of them but I definitely won't buy both.
I've bought water and food for homeless people before. The only time I've given money is when a homeless guy told me a great joke so I gave him $5. I do give money to local fire departments and stuff when they're collecting at stop lights.
I love my 3DS XL. I got it December of last year and have constantly had a good amount of games to play on it. As for the Vita I've never owned one so I won't be much help there. If you're looking to get into the Metal Gear Solid franchise I wouldn't buy the Vita version. The PS3 is releasing a new HD collection in a few weeks. Its MGS 1-4 and Peacewalker. The Vita version only has 2 and 3.
I had been subscribing for about 5 years and canceled about 6 months ago. It had nothing to do with Xbox One. It was from not playing anything online for months.
