I'm going to give Battlefield 3 a shot. I liked the more "tactical" feel that the online gameplay had during the Beta. I'm sure MW3 will be done well, but I'm more excited to try something new, even though I enjoyed Black Ops last fall.
I'd have to say something from the Sega Genesis days too. I was a HUGE fan of both NHL 95 and NBA Jam. I played those for countless hours.
Actually just found all my old NES/Genesis games. However, the consoles don't work as well as they used too. Just ordered one of those "duo retrocon" consoles that play Genesis, SNES, and NES. Can't wait to get some "retro" gaming on.
I'm sure I'll come up with something. My fiance always likes dressing up for Halloween parties. One year we went as Doug Funny and Patti Mayonaise, which got a few compliments.
Too be honest, I'm just looking forward to hearing the discussion on this years GOTY Bombcast.
Mortal Kombat, Portal 2, Batman: Arkham City, Skyrim, LA Noire, Uncharted 3, Battlefield 3, Modern Warfare 3, Gears of War 3, Zelda: Skyward Sword, Forza 4, are just some of the awesome games that have, or will come out this year. Can't go wrong with that.
I'm in the same boat, but I plan on waiting until Uncharted 3 comes down in a price a bit. I know it'll be a great game, and I loved the first two in the series, but I can't justify paying $60 for it right out of the gate. The MP beta was fun too, but not something I'll find myself playing a ton of.
I loved Oblivion and Fallout 3, so I think I'll go with Skyrim due to the fact that they'll be more replayability and length to start with, but that's just me.
I gave the demo another try today and definitely enjoyed it more this time. The avalanche race was a really neat idea. Is it Hot Pursuit? No, unfortunately not, however, I could see myself picking this one up when it hits the $30 price point.
