First off I understand this is beta. I understand its not finished, but lets be honest, it's less than a month away. They can fix the bugs, not design issues. The having to launch Origin then to launch a web browser, then to launch a game is amazingly bad design. I have a friend list in Origin, then the friend list in the browser, and different chat windows for both. It really feels like Origin was completely thrown in at the last minute even though they had been working on the browser concept since the launch. Launching the game in windowed mode was weird choice, but being locked out to change the settings until I launched into a server is what made it incredibly frustrating. As someone who prefers his FPS on a PC over a console, this one may change my mind.
As far as gameplay, i love the streamlined BFBC stuff that was brought in to this game, and the graphics look great. The flashlights were out of control on a couple of the matches I played, I was constantly blinded by my own teammates as well as the opposing team. It's really ridiculous in the enclosed environments. It's like someone made a gun that just sent out flash bangs constantly. The choice of maps for the beta seem pretty weak, the subway especially seemed like an odd choice for a Battlefield game. I have a lot more trouble with focusing and shooting in this game than normal in a FPS, its hard to put a finger on exactly what's causing it, but it doesn't feel quite right.
This was one of my most anticipated games that I knew was going to be incredible. After playing it, I can't help but feel disappointed and worried about this title.
