JCVD, Foot Fist Way, and Drag Me To Hell were all fantastic. Strongly disagree with some posters on that.
Worst movie I saw this year? God, you know, as much as I hate to say it, it might've been Bruno... definitely the closest I've ever been to walking out of a movie.
Went and saw Moon tonight. GO SEE IT. MM MM GOOOOOD
" was playing Jordan on expert, failed at 72%, slammed my guitar onto my bed, and accidentally hit my ipot touch. Huge crack, but still worked. To this day, I can only change songs, pause, and play. "
Funny, now that you bring it up, I could never get past 72% no matter how hard I tried.
At age 18, my first time ever going to a strip club, I pregamed way too hard and passed out in the strip club just before Tracey Morgan showed up. True story. I then proceeded to catch a ride home and rather than going into my house to fall asleep, I walked across the street to my car and passed out in the passenger seat. It was a very rude awakening to have my parents call me at 8 the next morning wondering where the fuck I was.
IGN. It was funny: after I found GB, I went to both for a few months, and gradually just less and less IGN until not at all. Better crowd here, both writers and community. A crowd who seems genuinely concerned with what games are good and fun rather than inciting flamewars.
I think the Health System is one of the most hallmark features of shooting games. It progresses to a new level of innovation every couple of generations it seems (Health Points evolving into regenerating health). I see pros and cons to both systems, but I do miss the good old days of having a set amount of health points and having to find health packs and stuff.
As games become more and more complex and built upon physics engines, I do not doubt that the characters onscreen will be able to be modeled with a skeletal, muscle, and circulatory systems. By shooting a bullet into any particular region on the model, the character will react procedurally based on where he was hit and what was damaged. When we get to this point, I think the super realistic "don't get shot or it's over" approach will be viable. Until then, there's always tactical shooters :)
