I'm talking specifically about third-person games, at least in first-person games, your vision is limited. I was playing PS2 games with my friend the other day, and we started playing some horror games, and when we played Fatal Frame III, i noticed that i couldn't see around corners and that the fixed camera did a good job of creating tension. Then, we started playing the first three Resident Evil games and we noticed the same thing. Sure, the controls were confusing at times in all of these games, but it did the job of an horror game pretty well. Compare this to Dead Space and i just don't feel ANY tension playing that. I feel too much in control.

So, why we don't see fixed camera anymore? It's not marketable? It's something that people don't like? Why?

That's a bummer. It's just a taunt button, but i liked it, it was stylish and fun. I'm still going to buy the game, but still.... No taunt button sucks.

@MikeGosot: Manly Dan or the cops?

Manly Dan. I don't watch too much Gravity Falls so i don't remember the cops...

Strange. I watch a lot of Gravity Falls and, while I picked up on potential one-sided attraction from the guy who follows him around I never got the mutual thing (what with Manly Dan having like four kids. Though no wife, it would seem, so presumably she died or left I guess. Perhaps they are just a beard though, along with his fixation on 'proper masculinity'), but with Officer Blubbs and the other guy I get a very distinct "much more than friends" vibe. A lot of their conversations in "Irrational Treasure" seemed like they could be read in multiple ways.

I'm pretty sure there's an episode where Manly Dan has dinner with the biker who follows him around. Of course that doesn't mean much, but i'm pretty sure it was more than just a friendly thing.

Gravity Falls has a gay couple. They never made that official, but everyone gets that.

Maybe the reason why sexual ideas or imagery aren't shown in children's shows (I'm annoyed that I even have to argue this) is that kids watching those shows haven't gone through something called "puberty" and simply can't grasp the meaning behind something like sex. It's the same reason why there is an age of consent. It's pretty fucking gross that some of you are arguing that sex is somehow just as appropriate to show children as some cartoon violence.

Why is showing violence to children appropriate?

There's nothing wrong with sex because it doesn't harm anyone (unless we talk rape of course but nobody's condoning that).

There's pretty much everything wrong with violence.

You're saying that it's not okay to show sex to children before they hit puberty... why is it ok to show violence to children? If you're saying that we can show sex 'only after a certain period' I ask you: is there ANY period in which it's ok for the child to use violence?

Hey, i'll answer this from my experience. I'm not a father, but my mom works a lot and usually i stay with my little sister. She has a Wii and she loves anime, and i watched Black Lagoon with her and played MadWorld, and both of them are pretty violent. However, i taught her that she should not try to repeat anything she saw in the game(or the anime), and to not be a violent person in general. She's a pretty calm girl, and there's a big difference between watching violence and doing it.

When the matter is sex, there are some restrictions. I don't care for nudity in a movie/cartoon/whatever she sees. I don't care for any relationship, homosexual or not in the cartoon she sees. However, i'm not comfortable watching any sex scene with her because... Well, it makes both of us uncomfortable, so why should we see it? Black Lagoon, at least to the point where we watched it, has some jokes involving hardcore sex, and mentions S&M practices. Since she doesn't understand the language and i have to translate for her, i simply do not mention these things. It's not like she does not know what sex is(She talked to me about it after she heard some people in school talking about it), but she, herself, doesn't feel good watching anything related to that. So yeah, at least in my case that's it.

I'll probably watch all of them, been meaning to do it anyway. Isn't there 4 Alien movies out?

Do not for the love of god watch Alien Resurrection (4). Ok watch it if you want but it's terrible.

I picked C because I've watched those movies more times then I can count so no need to do it special for the game.

I hate Resurrection far more than I really should. But FFFFFFFFFUU I really hate that movie.

G. Other: I watch the first and second one on a semi regular basis anyway. Three occasionally. But the first one is probably one of my most favorite movies if I had to pick favorites, which I hate doing.

Fingers crossed for this release, though.

I watched Ressurrection before i watched the other movies, so i always thought it was just regular bad. Not "OMGIHATETHISHIT!" bad. Just bad. And it had some creative death scenes, and i'm a sucker for those.

But yeah, i'm going to watch the first three movies before i play the game, but that doesn't mean i will buy it when it launches.

You know, it's a game that's not very unpopular, it's very fucking good, and yet... People barely mention it! I mean, where the hell is the love for ROAD RASH!?

Just got back there again and... "I can't see a thing!"

Unreal. This game is fucking with me.

"I can't see a thing" events do not happen if you're quick enough in the previous level. This was made to prevent frustating speed runs, but i like to use it as a strategy. I call it "RUN! RUN! RUN! I HUNGER for gold".

I need to kill Anubis in 4-1 though, so you can only move as fast as that allows basically. If i don't get him in 4-1, is he in 4-2?

I dunno if Anubis spawns in 4-2, but i think two bombs can kill him. Anubis II is trickier, but get into the City Of Gold first...
