Never had that problem personally. Also, why would you have to reformat the HDD because you bought it used? The only time you do that is when you swap HDDs and it doesn't take that long. Honestly I would go back to Gamestop and ask for a different used one. You might have gotten a bad one.
I like smearing players on walls. It's why I play so many PvP games. As for Dark Souls...it looks really good, but too similar for me to buy atm. I just bought Demon's Souls, and mechanically they're almost identical, and I don't know why I'd want to play the same game twice in a row like that.
It's different enough. The changes seem small but they do make for a more richer experience. The change from hub world to an open world space really sets this game apart from the first.
Never played Demons Souls, but I have Dark Souls on the 360, There are a few instances of the framerate just taking a complete nosedive. With one area in particular ( It is underground and has water everywhere) in which the framerate is just consistently terrible. For the most part I don't have any really bad frame-rate issues though.
I'm not worried about it. They'll fix it. After 2 weeks of gripping from the fans they'll abandon the COD crowed and turn it back to the strategy FPS that it's supposed to be.
Accidently fucked myself over by clicking on a Batman story but generally I avoid stuff for games I know I'll purchase. Uncharted, Mass Effect, Skyrim, just to name a few I haven't clicked on any stories.
Ok, as far as betas go this has been a disaster. It isn't the bugs that have most gamers concerned about the full game, it's the fact that the game is less than a month out and it has all these problems. Some have compared this beta to the BC2 one but, if my memory serves me right that one had very little problems. In fact that beta sold me on the game. While it did feature rush mode, the beta did showcase most of the vehicles that you could use in game. Dice's biggest mistake with this one, besides waiting till a month out to put it out, has been the map choice. I hate this map. When this map comes up in the multiplayer playlist I will quit out not to play it. It's waaay too linear for a battlefield game. Rush in BC2 didn't throttle you like it does in Metro.
Anyway all that being said don't cancel your pre-orders just yet. I ranted about this beta the day it came out and vowed not to play it till launch. I admit that I played it 2 more times after that but that was enough for me. Anyway I still have my pre-order with Amazon because I know that the full game will be awesome. DICE hasn't made a bad battlefield game since Battlefield 2022? The full version will have better maps, the destruction we crave, working voice chat, (though they never fixed that problem with 1943), and be better looking. Hopefully you guys have some faith and wait to try the full version yourselves. And by try the full version I mean wait for the review scores.
Haven't fallen into the environment. The voice chat is spotty at best. Glad other people having the aiming issue. Thought I was the only one. The hit detection is also off.
