I didnt like them at first (well at least when it was introduced as the other thing), but they were integrated into the overall story much better. I appreciate that ND didn't just make another gimmick level out of them, the way they did with the cursed zombie spaniards

Of all the things to pick on, the only thing on that list that I think has any validity, is the linearity. But as it isn't a sandbox game, then you really can't expect it to be non-linear.

The other things are just nit-picking. What game doesn't have repeating enemies? Since the vast majority of the enemies are human soldiers, there's only so much that can be done with them. But they are at least distinguishable by what type they are. The ones with chain guns, the heavily armoured shock troopers which always comes in threes, the sniper/rocket launcher guys. You can tell what the enemy is very quickly by the outfit they're wearing. And this isn't any different than any other game. Space invaders have enemy types. You know what behaviours to expect when you see one. Same with Halo, Gears, Killzone, etc.

And the eye thing. What game doesn't have weird eyes. It's pretty much the last hurdle in the uncanny valley problem. Eyes are hard to do, and they always look messed up, in pretty much every game. So do teeth, bu that wasn't mentioned

I think your out of luck. I dont believe that there is any non-modding method of doing what you are asking.

I don't think it was a matter of them not ordering enough of the game, as it is that the game turned out to be far more popular than people expected and they didn't manufacture enough. The walmart I got it from only got in 12 copies and the guy seemed really surprised. So it's probable that every store (save for ones doing pre-orders) only got a small amount. I'm sure when 2k was printing up the games, they weren't really thinking about the Canadian launch price.

BTW, this is why I love living right across the street from a Walmart. $40 games at 8 am!

I did that one on four player co-op. I think all of us went down at some point or another. He was a real pain, so extra levels never hurt.

I think that's a good recommendation in general. Unless you lucked out and got a really sweet gun somewhere along the way, try and stay at least a level (I'm aiming for two) above what the game suggests. And remember, if the game rank says that a certain quest will be tough or impossible, believe it.

I got it first time I went online, which was weird because I joined a guy's game who was level 1 and doing the very first mission. I don't know how this guy managed to play online while not actually doing anything to get it. So I figure he was either a dev or the devs just went out and joined some lobbies to get the achievment rolling

Any time I've searched for a custom game, I've found people around my level. I'm at 21 now, and haven't gone online for that, but I would assume the same will hold true

I thought that there was a reference to Jade Raymond in the name of one of the characters, but naturally I can't remember the character

Shit, I have to go back there. I just did a co-op run to finish the Sledge quest. It was really unpleasant, but I realise that it's much harder with more people.

At first I thought you were talking about a glitch with the marker (but as other people pointed out you just have to look higher), because I've had a few of them. For the shock crystals mission after getting the first two sets, the marker pointed me to the middle of a room, with nothing in it, so I just ran around and found the rest myself, which wasn't hard because it was a very linear cave. The other times the marker has glitched on me were during the missions were you have to collect the components of a weapon. In both the ones I've done, I found a piece out of sequence, which screwed up the marker leaving it in the spot where I had already collected. Both times I was able to find the last piece on my own, but that doesn't make it less annoying to have your waypoint marker not actually do what it's supposed to

EDIT: Wish I had read the post above mine first
