@lanechanger: Yeah, once you've got basically everything developed, the only reason you'd want to expand your FOB is to encourage people to invade. And that's exactly what I'm doing, as bopping fools with my Hail grenade launcher never gets old.

@lanechanger: Cool stuff. I kind of wrapped this under a bunch of warnings as people have been pretty spoiler sensitive, and you can actually 100% the game without finding this, but since the actual mechanism to trigger this isn't known, there's nothing wrong with spreading that around.

@lanechanger: Yeah, I'm glad you added that question mark because the actual method to getting that one to show isn't fully known right now; my information was based off of a few posts in the reddit thread that dug this up. The guy who actually unlocked it apparently modified the game files in some way to trigger it.

I'd keep an eye out; there might be more that we haven't discovered yet.

Uhh, it turns out that some of this "cut" stuff isn't quite so cut after all. That really good Kiefer monologue? You may want to check this topic out.

@lanechanger: How many of those defenses were you involved in? I found that my AI guards have become far more effective once I added extra platforms to each division; whereas I would lose half of the fights I wasn't involved in before, I haven't lost since the construction was completed. That's the most telling metric to me: how effective your defenses are when you aren't around.

@white: Correct, however it leads me to believe that there is more to this game then what we have discovered, and that the completion percentage is a lie, in a sense, as it had no relevance to whether or not you unlocked this. So while it isn't full of earth shattering reveals, it shines a light on our flawed understanding of what was cut from the game.

As, apparently, there's another fucking ending that is actually in the game that we haven't triggered yet. This goes beyond the "True Ending" spoilers, so if you want out, now's the time.

It turns out that some of the stuff that we assumed was left out isn't left out at all. Could their be even more we haven't discovered? I have no idea, but I cannot wait to find out. If you still want to see it, reveal the spoiler and strap in:

Even if you 100% the game, there's an ending that we haven't triggered, which is confirmed as being in game by the main US community manager. The speculation is that you have to steal and dispose of 50 nukes from the FOB mode to unlock it, or that no one online possess one at all, but this video was captured after someone modified their game files to trigger it:

Here's the link to the video, since I can't seem to embed it in a spoiler block.

In and of itself, it's not earth-shattering. What IS interesting is the fact that even 100%-ing the game doesn't unlock this, so there could be all sorts of stuff that is lying in wait for us to trigger it. Even Chapter 3, perhaps?

@selfconfessedcynic: The snake shaped scar on Big Boss was actually fake; it hid a jigsaw that you could use to break out of jail.

@bceagles128: @viciousbearmauling: Correct, currently there is no way to choose who you wish to support beyond a short list of random names. As this goes against what they've said all along, I assume it's going to be patched in at a later date. If not, don't panic: BSF will continue with MGO and also as a place to discuss general MGSV topics.

I've had wonderful conversations with many of you thanks to organizing this group, which has already made it all worth it. :D

I just logged in and made over 600k GMP, an S rank recruit, and a ton of materials from two successful offline base defenses.

Moral of the story? Build up, develop the best equipment you can, and rake in the dough. People don't get how hard assaulting a base can be.
