Voice Commands are working really well over here. The only problem i has was that i have a heavy British accent, so Zulu sometimes registered as Sierra. Beyond that, the demo has left me wanting more (like all good games.) Going to play it a few more times and I look forward to getting into some online action.
As of the 16th Oct, the Endwar demo is up and running. It includes:
Skirmish (Online and offline)
One single player mission (about 3 minutes in length)
and some set up tools.
Small tip: Change voice from lite to standard. That way you have access to all the voice command (such as SitRep, enter unit and Groups tools.) Also Zulu sometime registers as Serra from some reason
Ubisoft have been stating in their lastest trailers 'pre-order now for VIP demo.' For the UK, we have to pre-order from Gamestation (Part of GAME): http://www.gamestation.co.uk/product.asp?id=101290118474893 , and they have nicely stated that '... VIP access to the demo 2 weeks before every one else. VIP demo access starts on 30th September.' Now, a simple bit of math will tell you then the demo is due Oct 14th. It seems about right for any Early Novermber release. Thoughts anyone?
http://endwargame.us.ubi.com/podcast.php Good podcast, guys, if not a tad short. Gives some interesting insight into EndWar’s fiction. What do you guys think?
I thought Rainbow Six: Raven Shield has some form of voice control. You could get your fix there. As for what you have suggested, I’m not to sure I would want to shoot fire all the time.
I'm really looking forward to EndWar. Then again, I really like the direct that it is going for. Whilst I respect Jeff and others that don't like or feel for this game, it would be nice to have some elaboration.
If you didn't get into the beta, you can try for the stress test. I've just updated the page with it. It is a pre-order thing. Failing that, there is going to be a demo out before the game launchs.
