Alpha Collection #1 is now available from Indie Royale (http://www.indieroyale.com/), and I think this will be the first one I don't buy. None of the games are on Steam yet (which makes sense since they're alphas) and there are only 3 games:

• Towns
• 3079
• Wyv and Keep

Anyone buy this, or plan to?

thanks @Demoskinos and @Savage -- just what i wanted to know! since it's just skins and not different behavior i'll keep my $1.79

a bunch of my friends have killing floor so i was going to buy it next time it went on sale for 75% off or more, and it's currently 85% off! i'm going to get the game, but should i also get the 6 dlc character packs for $1.79 more? if you have one or more of the killing floor character packs, are the additional characters significantly different from the ones in the base game? they regularly go for $1.99 a pack, but with the midweek madness they work out to 30 cents a pack. are they worth an average of 30 cents a pack, or should i just get the game and save the extra $1.79?

you get 7 or so praxis kits pretty quickly, and then you earn them more quickly than in the full game. i was able to unlock all the upgrades i wanted by the end of the dlc, and the boss fight is done way better than the ones in the full game.

assuming 600 points is $6 i say go for it! i'd recommend it for under $10.

wait, there are games that support multiple monitors? i thought having a second monitor just let me watch a video on one while gaming on the other!

not sure if anything was changed, but my steam achievements just updated all by themselves for the first time in a month!

i have the parts picked out for a living room htpc which i don't plan to use for gaming. unfortunately due to netflix and bluray i'll need to run windows which means i need a larger ssd than i was hoping for.

currently i have an original xbox running xbmc playing media from my fedora linux box in the basement and dvds from its drive. netflix comes from the wii (so always stereo) and i have no bluray or hulu support at all.

i've deleted and re-added my steam account a few times now since the sort-of-daily updates stopped happening for me late december. in the 3 days since my last re-add i got my first 3 achievements in deus ex human revolution the missing link but none of them show up so far. would really like to see this working again because i like having twitter say the number of new achievements and i don't like having to re-add my account when i get a new s-rank.

i removed and re-added my steam account yesterday. i got a number around 7050 and then a few minutes later everything was there, so maybe it's normal. @Red12b did that happen with your psn account?

my steam achievements still aren't updating. did anything get figured out with that psn thing? the last few times achievement updating stopped working it got fixed a lot faster after i posted about it than this time. if i can do anything to help find the problem let me know.
